LEY DE POROTECIÓN A LA MUJER

En el último debate, fue aprobado el proyecto de ley que establece la creación del fondo “No es hora de callar”, destinado a la prevención, protección y asistencia de mujeres periodistas víctimas de violencia de género en Colombia.

Esta iniciativa surge como parte de las medidas de reparación ordenadas por la Corte Internacional de Derechos Humanos en el caso de Janeth Bedoya, una periodista que sufrió diversos actos de violencia como método de censura.

La ausencia igualitaria  de mueres periodistas en el ejercicio tiene un impacto social significativo.

Esto se releja en la falta de pluralidad  que debería caracterizar  al periodismo, tanto en termino de las voces que se recuperan para informar  como en las voces  de las periodistas que abordan diversos temas.

In the last debate, the bill was approved that establishes the creation of the “It is not time to be silent” fund, aimed at the prevention, protection and assistance of female journalists who are victims of gender violence in Colombia.

This initiative arises as part of the reparation measures ordered by the International Court of Human Rights in the case of Janeth Bedoya, a journalist who suffered various acts of violence as a method of censorship.

The equal absence of many journalists in the exercise has a significant social impact.

This is reflected in the lack of plurality that should characterize journalism, both in terms of the voices that are recovered to inform and in the voices of journalists who address various topics.
