Comando General Fuerzas Militares realiza reconocimiento al compromiso de personal de CATAM.

En una ceremonia militar realizada en las instalaciones del Comando Aéreo de Transporte Militar, CATAM, el Comando General de las Fuerzas Militares impuso condecoraciones a personal destacado de esta Unidad Militar de la Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana, en reconocimiento a su profesionalismo, entrega y compromiso con la seguridad y defensa de la Nación.

El acto fue presidido por el señor Ministro de Defensa Nacional, Pedro Sánchez, quien estuvo acompañado por el señor Almirante Francisco Cubides, Comandante General de las Fuerzas Militares, y el señor Brigadier General Víctor Celis, Comandante del Comando Aéreo de Transporte Militar.

Durante la ceremonia, se otorgaron las condecoraciones Fe en la Causa, Servicios Distinguidos a las Fuerzas Militares y Servicios Distinguidos en Operaciones Especiales, exaltando la labor ejemplar del personal militar que, a través de su desempeño operativo y administrativo, ha contribuido de manera significativa al cumplimiento de las misiones estratégicas de CATAM y al fortalecimiento de las capacidades de movilidad aérea del país.

En su intervención, el Ministro de Defensa manifestó que “CATAM no solo es horas de vuelo, toneladas transportadas o cifras operacionales, es el compromiso, disciplina y la vocación de servicio del personal que hace posible cada despegue y cada aterrizaje. Muchas de sus misiones se cumplen en el anonimato, con la convicción de que servir a la patria es más importante que recibir reconocimiento”.

Por su parte, el Comandante General de las Fuerzas Militares felicitó a los condecorados, invitándolos a continuar siendo ejemplo de honor, lealtad y vocación al servicio de Colombia.

De esta manera, se realizó un reconocimiento a la excelencia y el compromiso del personal del CATAM, en el cumplimiento de la misión de la Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana.

General Command of the Military Forces Recognizes the Commitment of CATAM Personnel.

In a military ceremony held at the facilities of the Military Air Transport Command (CATAM), the General Command of the Military Forces awarded decorations to outstanding personnel of this Colombian Aerospace Force unit in recognition of their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to the security and defense of the nation.

The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of National Defense, Pedro Sánchez, who was accompanied by Admiral Francisco Cubides, Commander General of the Military Forces, and Brigadier General Víctor Celis, Commander of the Military Air Transport Command.

During the ceremony, the Faith in the Cause, Distinguished Service to the Military Forces, and Distinguished Service in Special Operations decorations were awarded, recognizing the exemplary work of military personnel who, through their operational and administrative performance, have significantly contributed to the fulfillment of CATAM’s strategic missions and the strengthening of the country’s air mobility capabilities.

In his remarks, the Minister of Defense stated that “CATAM is not just about flight hours, tons transported, or operational figures; it is about the commitment, discipline, and dedication to service of the personnel who make every takeoff and landing possible. Many of their missions are carried out anonymously, with the conviction that serving the nation is more important than receiving recognition.”

For his part, the Commander General of the Military Forces congratulated the award recipients, encouraging them to continue being examples of honor, loyalty, and dedication to serving Colombia.

In this way, recognition was given to the excellence and commitment of CATAM personnel in fulfilling the mission of the Colombian Aerospace Force.
