Comando General de las Fuerzas Militares se une a la conmemoración de los 111 años de la Escuela Militar de Suboficiales Sargento Inocencio Chincá.

La Escuela Militar de Suboficiales Sargento Inocencio Chincá (EMSUB) conmemoró sus 111 años de servicio al país, reafirmando su papel como la institución que forja el carácter, la disciplina y el liderazgo de los suboficiales del Ejército Nacional. Este aniversario marca más de un siglo de compromiso con la formación integral de quienes constituyen la columna vertebral de la Fuerza.

La ceremonia inició con un homenaje al Sargento Inocencio Chincá, héroe que inspira el nombre de la Escuela, mediante la colocación de una ofrenda floral en la Plaza de Armas. El acto central se realizó en el Campo de Paradas Batalla Pantano de Vargas, donde se reunieron autoridades militares, personal docente y civil en un evento cargado de solemnidad y orgullo institucional.

El Mayor General Juan Diego Sepúlveda Palacio, Jefe de Estado Mayor Generador de Fuerza, presidió la jornada e impuso condecoraciones a quienes han contribuido al fortalecimiento académico y operativo de la EMSUB. Durante su intervención, destacó:

«La calidad de nuestros egresados refleja el compromiso y la dedicación de esta Escuela, que día a día trabaja por la excelencia.»

A lo largo de su historia, la EMSUB ha formado más de 80.000 suboficiales, hombres y mujeres que garantizan la seguridad y el orden en todo el territorio nacional. Actualmente, la institución avanza hacia la acreditación institucional, ofreciendo programas tecnológicos y profesionales de vanguardia a más de 1.800 estudiantes activos, preparados para enfrentar los retos de la defensa y la seguridad en escenarios cada vez más complejos.

Con esta conmemoración, la Escuela reafirma su misión: formar líderes con vocación, ética y valores militares, que respondan a las exigencias de la misión constitucional y contribuyan al bienestar de la nación.

111 años después, la EMSUB sigue siendo cuna de líderes y símbolo de honor, disciplina y servicio.

More than a century training leaders for Colombia

The Sergeant Inocencio Chincá Military School for Non-Commissioned Officers (EMSUB) commemorated its 111 years of service to the country, reaffirming its role as the institution that forges the character, discipline, and leadership of the non-commissioned officers of the National Army. This anniversary marks more than a century of commitment to the comprehensive training of those who form the backbone of the Force.

The ceremony began with a tribute to Sergeant Inocencio Chincá, the hero who inspired the School’s name, through the laying of a floral offering in the Plaza de Armas (Parade Ground). The main ceremony took place at the Pantano de Vargas Battlefield Parade Ground, where military authorities, faculty, and civilian staff gathered for an event filled with solemnity and institutional pride.

Major General Juan Diego Sepúlveda Palacio, Chief of Staff for Force Generation, presided over the event and presented decorations to those who have contributed to the academic and operational strengthening of the EMSUB (Military School of Non-Commissioned Officers). During his address, he emphasized:

«The quality of our graduates reflects the commitment and dedication of this School, which strives for excellence every day.»

Throughout its history, the EMSUB has trained more than 80,000 non-commissioned officers, men and women who guarantee security and order throughout the national territory. Currently, the institution is progressing toward institutional accreditation, offering cutting-edge technological and professional programs to more than 1,800 active students, prepared to face the challenges of defense and security in increasingly complex environments.

With this commemoration, the School reaffirms its mission: to train leaders with a vocation, ethics, and military values, who respond to the demands of the constitutional mission and contribute to the well-being of the nation.

111 years later, the EMSUB continues to be a cradle of leaders and a symbol of honor, discipline, and service.
