VIERNES 13 de septiembre 2024 – Día Internacional del Chocolate
El 13 de septiembre se le rinde homenaje a uno de los manjares más sabrosos que ha dado la naturaleza, por supuesto que hablamos del Día Internacional del Chocolate. Una festividad que surgió en Francia en el año 1995, como homenaje al escritor británico Roald Dahl, autor de la magnífica y deliciosa historia «Charlie y la Fábrica de Chocolate».

“Cállate o di algo mejor que el silencio” -Pitágoras, filósofo y matemático griego.
Lo recuerdo, como si fuera hoy, el domingo 3 de septiembre 1995, el Ingeniero Civil Gustavo Orozco Restrepo, elegido como Personaje del mes, atendió mi invitación, a mi programa Radial “Carrusel” en Ecos de Risaralda. En cabina, antes de abrirme micrófonos (era técnico Fernando Escobar Giraldo), me solicitó que no lo presentará como PERSONAJE; simplemente, como Gustavo. La entrevista duró 45 minutos, iniciando a las 8.15 a.m. De ella, quedaron grabados sus 15 personajes -con la correspondiente identificación-:
1- Jesús de Nazareth -La Cruz.
2- Padre Antonio José Valencia Murillo -Sotana del civismo pereirano.
3- Ingeniero civil británico John Smeaton -Viaducto de Smeaton.
4- El filósofo y matemático griego Pitágoras -El Teorema de Pitágoras.
5- El pensador y abogado hinduista Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi -Desobediencia civil no violenta.

Después de 29 años de la entrevista, Gustavo Orozco Restrepo cumplió su ciclo terreno el 3 de septiembre 2024; no sin antes, conscientemente como avanzado alumno de la Escuela Pitagórica, guardó sus: secretos, libros, proyectos, música, ideas, fotos de obras de arte, una lista de amigos y la foto de su nieta, en el vientre de su inmortal morral.
Tal vez, como él lo quería, muchos de “sus amigos” le rindieron homenaje, hasta encumbrarlo como “EL PERSONAJE MÁS IMPORTANTE DE PEREIRA EN EL SIGLO XX”.

“Shut up or say something better than silence” -Pythagoras, Greek philosopher and mathematician.
I remember it, as if it were today, Sunday September 3, 1995, the Civil Engineer Gustavo Orozco Restrepo, chosen as Person of the month, accepted my invitation to my Radio program “Carrusel” on Ecos de Risaralda. In the booth, before opening the microphones (it was the technician Fernando Escobar Giraldo), he asked me not to introduce him as a PERSON; simply, as Gustavo. The interview lasted 45 minutes, starting at 8:15 a.m. His 15 characters were recorded -with the corresponding identification-:
1- Jesus of Nazareth -The Cross.

After 29 years of the interview, Gustavo Orozco Restrepo completed his earthly cycle on September 3, 2024; but not before, consciously as an advanced student of the Pythagorean School, he kept his: secrets, books, projects, music, ideas, photos of works of art, a list of friends and the photo of his granddaughter, in the belly of his immortal backpack.
Perhaps, as he wanted, many of «his friends» paid tribute to him, until they elevated him as «THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON OF PEREIRA IN THE 20TH CENTURY.»

Je me souviens, comme si c’était aujourd’hui, le dimanche 3 septembre 1995, que l’ingénieur civil Gustavo Orozco Restrepo, élu Personne du mois, a répondu à mon invitation à mon émission de radio « Carrusel » sur Ecos de Risaralda. Dans la cabine, avant de m’ouvrir les micros (Fernando Escobar Giraldo était technicien), il m’a demandé de ne pas le présenter comme un PERSONNAGE ; simplement, comme Gustavo. L’entretien a duré 45 minutes et a débuté à 8h15. D’elle, ses 15 caractères ont été enregistrés – avec l’identification correspondante – :

Après 29 ans d’entretien, Gustavo Orozco Restrepo a terminé son cycle terrestre le 3 septembre 2024 ; mais pas avant, consciemment en tant qu’élève avancé de l’école pythagoricienne, il gardait les siens : secrets, livres, projets, musique, idées, photos d’œuvres d’art, une liste d’amis et la photo de sa petite-fille, dans le ventre de son sac à dos immortel.
Peut-être, comme il le souhaitait, beaucoup de « ses amis » lui ont-ils rendu hommage, le vantant même comme « LE PERSONNAGE LE PLUS IMPORTANT DE PEREIRA AU XXE SIÈCLE ».

In cabina, prima di aprirmi i microfoni (Fernando Escobar Giraldo era un tecnico), mi chiese di non presentarlo come PERSONAGGIO; semplicemente, come Gustavo. Forse, come lui voleva, molti dei “suoi amici” gli hanno reso omaggio, addirittura esaltandolo come “IL PERSONAGGIO PIÙ IMPORTANTE DI PEREIRA NEL XX SECOLO”.
