LUNES 30 de septiembre 2024 – Día Internacional de la Traducción.
Desde el año 1991 la Federación Internacional de la Traducción (FIT) celebra cada 30 de septiembre el Día Internacional de la Traducción, con el objetivo de mostrar la solidaridad entre sus miembros y destacar el enorme valor que tiene esta profesión en un mundo cada vez más globalizado.
La razón de haber elegido el 30 de septiembre como día para conmemorar a esta profesión se debe a que fue en esta fecha en la que falleció Jerónimo de Estridón, más popularmente conocido como San Jerónimo, santo patrono de los traductores y responsable de la traducción de la biblia del hebreo al latín y al griego.

Since 1991, the International Federation of Translation (FIT) has celebrated International Translation Day every September 30, with the aim of showing solidarity among its members and highlighting the enormous value of this profession in an increasingly globalized world.
The reason for choosing September 30 as the day to commemorate this profession is because it was on this date that Jerome of Stridon, more popularly known as Saint Jerome, patron saint of translators and responsible for the translation of the Bible from Hebrew to Latin and Greek, died.
