CIBDENAN A MÉDIOS POR FALSIFICAR SUS TÍTULOS.

CONDENADOS 11 MÉDICO COLOMBIANOS ENTRE ELLO 3 DE PERERIA POR FALCIFICAR  SUS TÍTULOS.

Un juez penal del circuito de Bogotá condenó a 11 médicos colombianos por haber obtenido ilegalmente títulos de especialización  en cirugía plástica y estética en Brasil.

La fiscalía demostró que los sentenciados no cumplieron con los requisitos académicos exigidos y que, con documentación falsa, lograron validar sus estudios ante el Ministerio de Educación de Colombia.

Entre los condenados se encuentran tres médicos de Risaralda, incluido Javier Rocano Botero, quien fue secretario de salud de Risaralda durante la primera administración  de Víctor Manuel Tamayo Vargas.

Los otros dos risaraldenses sentenciados son: Rodolfo López Zapata y Víctor Manuel Jaramillo Torres.

El juez determinó que los acusados actuaron de manera fraudulenta para acceder a la especialidad, poniendo en riesgo la salud de los pacientes que confiaron en sus credenciales.

Como resultado, fueron dictadas las siguientes sentencias:

Javier Lozano Botero, Rodolfo López Zapata, Víctor Manuel Jaramillo Torres, médicos de Risaralda que fueron condenados a seis años y seis meses de prisión y al pago de 200 salarios mínimos legales mensuales vigentes.

Giovanni Cortés Montealegre, Manuel Antonio Vargas Calero, Gerardo Rojas Gómez, Alfredo Rodríguez Figueroa  María Mónica  Martínez Martínez, Rubén Darío Arciniegas Martínez,  Juan Fernando Adía silva y Henry Diego Fernando Ortiz Silva recibieron penas de 7 años de prisión.

Todos los sentenciados fueron inhabilitados para ejercer  funciones públicas por cinco años.

El juez libró ordenes de captura para que los condenados sean trasladados a centros carcelarios y cumplan con sus penas.

11 COLOMBIAN DOCTORS SENTENCED, INCLUDING 3 FROM PERERIA, FOR FALCIFYING THEIR DEGREES.

A Bogotá criminal circuit judge sentenced 11 Colombian doctors for illegally obtaining specialized degrees in plastic and aesthetic surgery in Brazil.

The prosecution demonstrated that the convicted doctors did not meet the required academic requirements and, with false documentation, managed to validate their studies with the Colombian Ministry of Education.

Among those convicted are three doctors from Risaralda, including Javier Rocano Botero, who was Risaralda’s health secretary during the first administration of Víctor Manuel Tamayo Vargas.

The other two Risaralda residents sentenced are Rodolfo López Zapata and Víctor Manuel Jaramillo Torres.

The judge determined that the defendants acted fraudulently to access the specialty, putting the health of patients who trusted their credentials at risk.

As a result, the following sentences were handed down:

Javier Lozano Botero, Rodolfo López Zapata, and Víctor Manuel Jaramillo Torres, doctors from Risaralda, were sentenced to six years and six months in prison and ordered to pay 200 times the current monthly minimum wage.

Giovanni Cortés Montealegre, Manuel Antonio Vargas Calero, Gerardo Rojas Gómez, Alfredo Rodríguez Figueroa, María Mónica Martínez Martínez, Rubén Darío Arciniegas Martínez, Juan Fernando Adía Silva, and Henry Diego Fernando Ortiz Silva received seven-year prison sentences.

All those sentenced were barred from holding public office for five years.

The judge issued arrest warrants for the convicted men to be transferred to prisons where they can serve their sentences.
