Por medio de un comunicado de prensa, Deportivo Pereira dio a conocer la sorpresiva noticia de la salida del entrenador antioqueño LEONEL DE JESÚS ALVAREZ ZULETA, de la dirección técnica del cuadro Matecaña.

El plantel se encuentra actualmente en vacaciones y el grupo debe regresar a trabajar  el próximo 20 de junio.

Esa determinación no da detalles del motivo de la renuncia del Técnico el cual tenía contrato firmado por el termino de dos años.

La noticia genero bastante sorpresa, teniendo en cuenta que desde la presidencia del equipo en cabeza de Álvaro López y el propio técnico, siempre se hablaba de un proceso y proyecto a dos años, el cual dio sus frutos con rapidez.

Es por eso que se produce la inquietud de que pasó ahora y que produjo la salida del entrenador, además la pregunta renuncio o lo sacaron. Tendrá algo que ver en la conformación del equipo para el segundo semestre.

Ahora la los aficionados y la prensa se pregunta sobre la actualidad del plantel y que vaya a pasare con la nómina del equipo y si se darán más salidas de jugadores.

Por ahora son más las preguntas que las respuestas.

La pretemporada comenzará el 20 de junio y a estas alturas no hay duda que es mas duro contratar un técnico, teniendo en cuenta que muchos de los competitivos ya están ocupados.
