LA MUERTE DEL PADRE RUBEN DARÍO VALENCIA URIBE,

Monseñor Rigoberto Corredor Bermúdez, obispo de la diócesis de Pereira, se pronunció respecto a la desaparición del padre Rubén Darío Valencia Uribe cuyo paradero ha sido un misterio desde hace varios meses.
En una declaración abordó la noticia sobre la presunta aceptación de cargos por parte del principal sospechoso del caso, quien habría confesado la muerte del sacerdote.
Monseñor aclaró que todavía no ha recibido información oficial de la Fiscalía sobre la confesión del sospechoso, aunque admitió que la noticia se ha confirmado a través de varios medios de comunicación .
“Hemos llegado a un acuerdo con la Fiscalía y nuestro abogado de que todo lo que podemos comentar es lo que recibamos oficialmente”, subrayó el obispo.
Tal como lo informó el Diario, Juliá Eduardo Cifuentes Gómez, habría admitido la participación de la muerte del padre y proporcionado coordenada del lugar donde se podrán encontrar al padre valencia Uribe, a Las autoridades, según las declaraciones de Monseñor Rigoberto, ya se están llevando a cabo busque en las inmediaciones de Belalcázar en la vía que conecta Pereira con Viterbo.

“Dejaremos que las autoridades sigan la investigación por que falta mucho por completar”, concluyó el obispo, quien reitero la esperanza de que los jueces de Colombia actúen a la gravedad de los hechos.
La comunidad católica de Pereira y de todo el país sigue a la espera de más información oficial, mientras el caso se acerca a un posible esclarecimiento que permitiría dar un cierre, aunque doloroso, a esta tragedia.

Monsignor Rigoberto Corredor Bermúdez, bishop of the diocese of Pereira, spoke out regarding the disappearance of Father Rubén Darío Valencia Uribe whose whereabouts have been a mystery for several months.

«We have reached an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office and our lawyer that all we can comment on is what we receive officially,» the bishop stressed.
As reported by the newspaper, Juliá Eduardo Cifuentes Gómez, would have admitted his involvement in the death of the priest and provided the coordinates of the place where Father Valencia Uribe can be found.
