El movimiento juvenil ‘Nueva Historia’, fundado por el dirigente político, docente y hoy Defensor Delegado para el Derecho y la Salud en Colombia Leonardo Huerta, anunció su respaldo al candidato de la coalición de partidos Primero Pereira, Mauricio Salazar Peláez.

Durante el pronunciamiento donde se respalda a Mauricio Salazar en su aspiración a la Alcaldía de Pereira, el movimiento manifestó que “el próximo 29 de octubre se cumplen 8 años desde que la ‘Nueva Historia’ espera cambios positivos para Pereira y con el paso del tiempo hemos evidenciado, como hoy eso no ha sido posible. Pereira hoy tiene heridas muy profundas en ámbitos sociales, de infraestructura y en especial en materia educativa”.

También manifiesta este colectivo que hoy la administración municipal tiene deudas latentes con la sociedad y los pereiranos y aseguran que por eso “como equipo consideramos que la continuidad de la administración actual pone en riesgo la posibilidad de evolucionar en todos los aspectos anteriormente descritos y más riesgoso aún es que dicha concentración del poder esté en unas pocas manos y se atente directamente contra la seguridad jurídica y la transparencia de la gerencia pública del municipio”.

“Como equipo y como parte de una ‘Nueva Historia’ hemos decido vincularnos formalmente y apoyar la campaña de Mauricio Salazar en su camino a la Alcaldía de Pereira y al verdadero cambio que como ciudad tanto necesitamos”, enfatizó Carolina Poveda, secretaria del movimiento ‘Nueva Historia’.
