ZOZOBRA MUNDIAL

Las enfermedades mentales, después del Covid-19, se multiplican diariamente en todo el mundo, ultimando vidas por manos propias o ajenas, como víctimas de incomprensión humana y disparando la alarma roja de fin del planeta tierra.

Estamos inmersos en graves problemas mundiales: hambre, desigualdad, contaminación, conflictos, luchas fratricidas por el poder, odio, venganza e incomprensión.

La zozobra mundial se apoderó de los 8.000 millones de seres humanos (habitantes del tercer planeta del sistema solar), ocasionada por problemas ambientales: cambio climático, pérdida de biodiversidad, estrés hídrico y conflictos por la tierra.

En “La República”, Platón (filósofo griego), cita dos ciudades-estado imaginarias; una saludable y otra “lujosa y febril”; la primera equilibrada, la segunda donde los habitantes gastan y devoran en exceso, entregándose al consumismo hasta «sobrepasar el límite de sus necesidades».

La FAO, revela que el 38% de la superficie terrestre del planeta, se utiliza para cultivar alimentos y otros productos (como combustible) para los seres humanos o su ganado: cinco mil millones de hectáreas en total.

Lo anterior, nos indica que estamos abusando de los recursos finitos del mundo, cómo sí tuviéramos una tierra cinco veces mayor. Nos tocará reflexionar, en el “DÍA DE LA SOBRECAPACIDAD DE LA TIERRA”, observando agotamiento de los recursos biológicos, entendiendo que nuestro planeta es finito y la superproducción acelera su muerte.

“Debemos aceptar la decepción finita, pero nunca debemos perder la esperanza infinita.” –Lo dijo Martin Luther King, una hora antes de ser asesinado, el 4 abril/1968.

Escudriñando sobre la zozobra mundial, leí a Mateo, capítulo 24 versículos 6 al 8: “Y habréis de oír de guerras y rumores de guerras. ¡Cuidado! No os alarméis, porque es necesario que todo esto suceda; pero todavía no es el fin”.

En nuestra amada Colombia, metafóricamente, estamos sufriendo las 7 plagas de Egipto: 1-Ríos incontenibles con sangre de inocentes. 2-Lluvia de ranas corruptas, apoderadas de nuestras instituciones. 3-Muerte de ganado, por manos invisibles. 4-Granizo y fuego en las selvas por ecocidas. 5-Invasión de langostas en el Congreso. 6-Tinieblas creadas por los dueños del poder. 7-Asesinato de jóvenes líderes.

Nos queda una luz esperanzadora, con la frase de la activista estadounidense Marguerite Annie Johnson: “Podemos encontrar muchas derrotas, pero no debemos ser derrotados”.

Mental illnesses, after Covid-19, multiply daily throughout the world, killing lives by their own hands or others, as victims of human misunderstanding and triggering the red alarm at the end of planet earth.

We are immersed in serious global problems: hunger, inequality, pollution, conflicts, fratricidal struggles for power, hatred, revenge and misunderstanding.

Global anxiety seized the 8,000 million human beings (inhabitants of the third planet of the solar system), caused by environmental problems: climate change, loss of biodiversity, water stress and land conflicts.

In «The Republic», Plato (Greek philosopher), mentions two imaginary city-states; one healthy and the other “luxurious and feverish”; the first balanced, the second where the inhabitants spend and devour in excess, giving themselves over to consumerism until «exceeding the limit of their needs».

The FAO reveals that 38% of the planet’s land surface is used to grow food and other products (such as fuel) for humans or their livestock: five billion hectares in total.

The above indicates that we are abusing the world’s finite resources, as if we had a land five times larger. We will have to reflect, on the «DAY OF THE OVERCAPACITY OF THE EARTH», observing the depletion of biological resources, understanding that our planet is finite and overproduction accelerates its death.

«We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.» – Martin Luther King said it, an hour before he was assassinated, on April 4, 1968.

Searching about the world anxiety, I read Matthew, chapter 24 verses 6 to 8: “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. Careful! Do not be alarmed, because it is necessary for all this to happen; But it’s not the end yet.»

In our beloved Colombia, metaphorically, we are suffering the 7 plagues of Egypt: 1-Uncontainable rivers with the blood of innocents. 2-Rain of corrupt frogs, seized of our institutions. 3-Death of cattle, by invisible hands. 4-Hail and fire in the jungles due to ecocides. 5-Invasion of locusts in Congress. 6-Darkness created by the owners of power. 7-Assassination of young leaders.

We have a hopeful light, with the phrase of the American activist Marguerite Annie Johnson: «We can find many defeats, but we must not be defeated.»
