Ya llega el día para depositar nuestro voto y definir el rumbo de nuestra amada Colombia, para el período 2026-2030. Ante la pregunta obligada de ¿Quién es el mejor candidato?, la respuesta no está en el ruido exterior: consúltele a su conciencia y escuche su voz interior.
El domingo 31 de mayo de 2026, en los 14 municipios del departamento de Risaralda viviremos una animada fiesta democrática. Un potencial de 878.829 ciudadanos habilitados (457.358 mujeres y 421.471 hombres) ejercerá su derecho y deber. En esta jornada, que se abrirá a las 8 a.m. y cerrará a las 4 p.m., Pereira será el gran epicentro electoral al registrar más de la mitad del censo departamental, con 463.062 ciudadanos convocados a las urnas, distribuidos en 1.324 mesas de votación y 87 puestos, incluyendo 26 en la zona rural.
En este ejercicio, daremos cumplimiento al Artículo 258 de nuestra Constitución Nacional, el cual consagra que el voto es un derecho y un deber ciudadano, y que el Estado velará porque se ejerza sin coacción y de forma secreta en cubículos individuales. Tras una agitada campaña, los ciudadanos tenemos los elementos necesarios para optar por la propuesta que ofrezca mayor viabilidad en asuntos cruciales como seguridad, economía, reformas sociales, salud, educación, cultura, deportes, empleo y orden público.
El proceso es sencillo y transparente. Para votar, solo se requiere presentar la cédula de ciudadanía original, ya sea la tradicional amarilla con hologramas o la cédula digital desde la aplicación oficial de la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil. Frente al tarjetón, marque únicamente una casilla donde aparecen las fotografías y logos de los candidatos a la presidencia y su fórmula vicepresidencial. Al finalizar, asegúrese de reclamar y revisar su certificado electoral, el documento que acredita su participación con los datos correctos.
Nuestro departamento de Risaralda, debe ser ejemplo democrático, con su participación significativa dentro los 41.421.973 colombianos habilitados para ejercer su derecho al voto en Colombia y el exterior durante las elecciones de presidente y vicepresidente de la República (primera vuelta).
El futuro del país está en nuestras manos. Que las urnas reflejen una decisión madura, informada y libre. Votemos a conciencia.

The day has arrived to cast our votes and define the course of our beloved Colombia for the 2026-2030 term. Faced with the inevitable question, «Who is the best candidate?», the answer isn’t found in the external noise: consult your conscience and listen to your inner voice.

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the 14 municipalities of the department of Risaralda, we will experience a lively democratic celebration. A potential 878,829 eligible citizens (457,358 women and 421,471 men) will exercise their right and duty. This day will begin at 8:00 a.m. The polls will close at 4 p.m. Pereira will be the main electoral epicenter, registering more than half of the department’s registered voters, with 463,062 citizens eligible to cast their ballots, distributed across 1,324 polling stations and 87 voting centers, including 26 in rural areas.

In this election, we will comply with Article 258 of our National Constitution, which establishes that voting is both a right and a civic duty, and that the State will ensure it is exercised without coercion and in secret in individual voting booths. After a busy campaign, citizens have the necessary information to choose the proposal that offers the greatest viability on crucial issues such as security, the economy, social reforms, health, education, culture, sports, employment, and public order.

The process is simple and transparent. To vote, you only need to present your original national identity card, either the traditional yellow card with holograms or the digital card obtained through the official application of the National Civil Registry. On the ballot, mark only one box where the photographs and logos of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates appear. Afterward, be sure to claim and review your voter registration certificate, the document that verifies your participation with the correct information.
Our department of Risaralda should be a democratic example, with its significant participation among the 41,421,973 Colombians eligible to exercise their right to vote in Colombia and abroad during the presidential and vice-presidential elections (first round).

The future of the country is in our hands. Let the ballot boxes reflect a mature, informed, and free decision. Let us vote with a clear conscience.
