Parque Mirador Las Cometas: un destino turístico con potencial que sigue desaprovechado.

Habitantes y visitantes del Parque Mirador Las Cometas manifestaron su preocupación por el limitado aprovechamiento turístico y recreativo de este espacio natural, considerado uno de los lugares con mayor potencial para actividades de turismo ecológico, senderismo, avistamiento de aves y fotografía de naturaleza. Aunque el parque permanece habilitado para el público, ciudadanos aseguran que la falta de promoción institucional y el deterioro de algunas áreas han impedido consolidarlo como un atractivo destacado para la región.

Quienes frecuentan el lugar señalan que existen problemas relacionados con mantenimiento, aseo y uso de la infraestructura construida dentro del parque. Los módulos comerciales permanecen sin actividad, mientras algunos visitantes consideran que el entorno carece de programación cultural y turística que incentive una mayor afluencia de personas durante fines de semana y temporadas vacacionales.

El Parque Mirador Las Cometas es reconocido por ofrecer amplios paisajes naturales y condiciones favorables para el pajareo y el contacto con la biodiversidad. Sin embargo, residentes afirman que el sitio aún no recibe el impulso necesario para convertirse en un referente de turismo ambiental y desarrollo económico local. También aseguran que el abandono parcial afecta la percepción de seguridad y limita el crecimiento de emprendimientos alrededor del parque.

Frente a las críticas, la administración municipal indicó que el parque cuenta actualmente con servicios públicos, labores de mantenimiento y condiciones adecuadas para su funcionamiento. Además, confirmó que avanza un proceso jurídico orientado a entregar la operación del escenario a un tercero, con el objetivo de fortalecer su administración y dinamizar las actividades comerciales y turísticas del lugar.

Diversos sectores consideran que el fortalecimiento del turismo de naturaleza podría generar beneficios económicos, culturales y ambientales para la comunidad. Mientras se define el futuro administrativo del parque, ciudadanos insisten en la necesidad de impulsar estrategias de promoción y recuperación que permitan aprovechar plenamente uno de los espacios con mayor riqueza paisajística y ecológica de la región.

Residents and visitors of Las Cometas Viewpoint Park have expressed concern over the limited use of this natural and recreational space, considered one of the areas with the greatest potential for ecotourism, hiking, birdwatching, and nature photography. Although the park remains open to the public, citizens say the lack of institutional promotion and the deterioration of some areas have prevented it from becoming a major attraction in the region.

People who regularly visit the site point to issues related to maintenance, cleanliness, and the underuse of the park’s infrastructure. Commercial modules remain inactive, while visitors believe the area lacks cultural and tourism programming capable of attracting more people during weekends and holiday seasons.

Las Cometas Viewpoint Park is recognized for its scenic landscapes and ideal conditions for birdwatching and enjoying biodiversity. However, local residents argue that the site has not received the support necessary to become a leading destination for environmental tourism and local economic development. They also state that partial neglect affects the perception of safety and limits the growth of businesses around the park.

In response to the criticism, municipal authorities stated that the park currently has public services, maintenance operations, and adequate conditions for operation. They also confirmed that a legal process is underway to hand over the park’s management to a third party in order to strengthen administration and promote commercial and tourism activities.
