Presión de las tropas de la Novena Brigada obligó a narcotraficantes a huir y abandonar cargamento de marihuana.

En desarrollo de operaciones de control territorial y lucha frontal contra el narcotráfico, tropas del Batallón de Infantería Liviana N.° 27 Magdalena, orgánicas de la Novena Brigada, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional, lograron la incautación de 215 kilogramos de estupefacientes en la vereda El Cedro del municipio de Pitalito, en el eje vial que comunica a Mocoa.

De inmediato, se activó el plan candado y gracias a la información oportuna suministrada por la Red de Participación Cívica, se alertó sobre un vehículo sospechoso cuyos ocupantes arrojaban paquetes a la orilla de la carretera. La acción coordinada entre soldados y policías permitió verificar el sector y hallar 215 paquetes rectangulares con la sustancia ilícita.

Con esta operación se logró una afectación a las finanzas ilícitas del narcotráfico cercana a los 300 millones de pesos, debilitando de manera significativa su estructura logística y criminal. De igual manera, se evitó que 215.000 dosis de marihuana llegaran a las calles, protegiendo especialmente a niños, niñas y jóvenes, quienes son las principales víctimas del flagelo del microtráfico y del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas.

La Novena Brigada del Ejército Nacional reitera su compromiso con la seguridad, el control del territorio y la protección de la población civil, destacando que es precisamente la presión sostenida, la presencia permanente de las tropas y el trabajo articulado con la comunidad y la Policía Nacional lo que obliga a las organizaciones criminales a huir y abandonar sus cargamentos.

El Ejército Nacional continuará desarrollando operaciones ofensivas para neutralizar las economías ilícitas y contribuir a un entorno seguro para lasfamilias huilenses.

Pressure from Ninth Brigade troops forced drug traffickers to flee and abandon a shipment of marijuana.

During territorial control operations and the fight against drug trafficking, troops from the 27th Magdalena Light Infantry Battalion, part of the Ninth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police, seized 215 kilograms of narcotics in the El Cedro village of the municipality of Pitalito, on the road leading to Mocoa.

The incident occurred during a routine checkpoint operation when soldiers signaled a vehicle to stop. The driver ignored the signal and fled.

A roadblock was immediately activated, and thanks to timely information provided by the Civic Participation Network, authorities were alerted to a suspicious vehicle whose occupants were throwing packages onto the side of the road. The coordinated action between soldiers and police allowed for a search of the area and the discovery of 215 rectangular packages containing the illicit substance.

This operation dealt a blow to the illicit finances of drug trafficking by approximately 300 million pesos, significantly weakening its logistical and criminal structure. Likewise, it prevented 215,000 doses of marijuana from reaching the streets, protecting children and young people, who are the primary victims of the scourge of micro-trafficking and the consumption of psychoactive substances.

The Ninth Brigade of the National Army reiterates its commitment to security, territorial control, and the protection of the civilian population, emphasizing that it is precisely the sustained pressure, the permanent presence of troops, and the coordinated work with the community and the National Police that forces criminal organizations to flee and abandon their shipments.
