Cotecmar entrega embarcaciones Businú para el transporte fluvial de Montería.

Las embarcaciones Yapel y Betancí construidas por Cotecmar hacen parte del proyecto que fortalecerá el transporte fluvial en la ciudad de Montería.

Durante la construcción se generaron más de 300 empleos entre directos e indirectos.

En un acto protocolario en la ciudad de Montería, la Corporación de Ciencia y Tecnología para el Desarrollo de la Industria Naval, Marítima y Fluvial (COTECMAR), hizo entrega oficial de las embarcaciones Yapel y Betancí a la Alcaldía de Montería, en el marco del proyecto BUSINÚ, el cual fortalecerá el transporte fluvial y desarrollo de la capital de Córdoba.

BUSINÚ refleja la capacidad de la ingeniería naval para adaptarse a las necesidades de las comunidades costeras y ribereñas, y por supuesto, el compromiso de la Corporación con el progreso del país. Esto sumado a la capacidad de innovación y calidad que ha caracterizado a COTECMAR durante sus 25 años de trayectoria; en esta oportunidad apostándole a construcciones sostenibles incorporando paneles solares y batería que alimentará los sistemas de iluminación, navegación, y comunicación, requeridos en las embarcaciones para su navegación, haciéndola más eficiente con el entorno.

A nivel económico, los doce meses de construcción de BUSINÚ, permitieron la creación de 90 empleos directos, 270 empleos indirectos y la participación de 93 empresas nacionales proveedoras, fortaleciendo la cadena productiva de la industria naval colombiana.

Con esta entrega, COTECMAR reafirma su compromiso con el desarrollo de soluciones tecnológicas marítimas y fluviales que contribuyan al crecimiento de las regiones.

Cotecmar delivers Businú vessels for river transport in Montería.

The Yapel and Betancí vessels, built by Cotecmar, are part of a project that will strengthen river transport in the city of Montería.

More than 300 direct and indirect jobs were generated during construction.

In a formal ceremony in the city of Montería, the Corporation of Science and Technology for the Development of the Naval, Maritime, and River Industry (COTECMAR) officially delivered the Yapel and Betancí vessels to the Mayor’s Office of Montería, as part of the BUSINÚ project, which will strengthen river transport and development in the capital of Córdoba.

BUSINÚ reflects the capacity of naval engineering to adapt to the needs of coastal and riverside communities, and, of course, the Corporation’s commitment to the progress of the country. This, combined with the innovation and quality that have characterized COTECMAR throughout its 25-year history, demonstrates a commitment to sustainable construction. This project incorporates solar panels and a battery to power the lighting, navigation, and communication systems required for vessel operation, making them more environmentally friendly.

Economically, the twelve-month construction of BUSINÚ generated 90 direct jobs, 270 indirect jobs, and involved 93 national supplier companies, strengthening the Colombian naval industry’s production chain.

With this delivery, COTECMAR reaffirms its commitment to developing maritime and riverine technological solutions that contribute to regional growth.
