Ejército Nacional captura a cabecilla de red criminal del GAO-r Jaime Martínez, aliado directo de alias Mordisco.

En una operación de inteligencia interinstitucional, tropas del Ejército Nacional, en coordinación con la Fiscalía General de la Nación, lograron la captura de un presunto cabecilla de las redes de apoyo del grupo armado organizado residual (GAO-r) Estructura Jaime Martínez, responsable de múltiples acciones terroristas y graves delitos en el suroccidente del país.

En el marco del Plan de Campaña Estratégico Conjunto Ayacucho Plus, y tras un trabajo coordinado e interinstitucional entre el Gaula Militar Valle del Cauca de la Tercera Brigada con unidades de Inteligencia Militar y el CTI, se capturó en zona rural de Cundinamarca a Luis Edinson Bastidas Vásquez, conocido con el alias de Gael, señalado cabecilla de las redes de apoyo de esta estructura residual.

El sujeto es investigado por los delitos de terrorismo, homicidio agravado y concierto para delinquir, además de estar presuntamente vinculado a acciones terroristas en Cali y Jamundí, así como con el secuestro del menor Lyan Hortúa, quien estuvo privado de la libertad por varios días en el corregimiento de Villacolombia, zona rural de Jamundí. 

De acuerdo con labores de inteligencia, alias Gael coordinaba actividades armadas, de reclutamiento y adoctrinamiento de menores, así como la planeación de ataques contra la Fuerza Pública y la población civil en el Valle del Cauca.

Alias Gael ha participado en hostigamientos a las estaciones de Policía de Dagua y la base militar de Anchicayá y también en el homicidio de un presunto integrante de la banda delincuencial Los Shottas. En su prontuario delictivo figura la adecuación de una volqueta cargada con artefactos explosivos que iba dirigida contra la base militar de Palmira y en el ataque al CAI del barrio El Rodeo, también en Jamundí, entre otros delitos. 

El sujeto capturado fue puesto a disposición de las autoridades competentes para su judicialización. 

Con este resultado, el Ejército Nacional ratifica su compromiso con la seguridad y defensa de la nación e invita a la ciudadanía a denunciar cualquier actividad criminal a las líneas 107 Antiterrorismo, 147 Gaula Militar y 141 Contra el Reclutamiento Infantil.

National Army captures leader of criminal network of the Jaime Martínez GAO-r, direct ally of alias Mordisco.

In an interagency intelligence operation, troops of the National Army, in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, captured a suspected leader of the support networks of the Jaime Martínez Structure, a residual organized armed group (GAO-r) responsible for numerous terrorist acts and serious crimes in southwestern Colombia.

As part of the Ayacucho Plus Joint Strategic Campaign Plan, and following coordinated interagency work between the Valle del Cauca Military Gaula of the Third Brigade, Military Intelligence units, and the CTI (Technical Investigation Corps), Luis Edinson Bastidas Vásquez, known as Gael, was captured in a rural area of ​​Cundinamarca. He is the alleged leader of the support networks of this residual structure.

The suspect is under investigation for terrorism, aggravated homicide, and conspiracy to commit a crime. He is also allegedly linked to terrorist acts in Cali and Jamundí, as well as the kidnapping of Lyan Hortúa, a minor, who was held captive for several days in the village of Villacolombia, a rural area of ​​Jamundí.

According to intelligence reports, alias Gael coordinated armed activities, the recruitment and indoctrination of minors, and the planning of attacks against the security forces and civilians in the Valle del Cauca region.

Alias ​​Gael has participated in attacks on the Dagua police station and the Anchicayá military base, and in the murder of a suspected member of the Los Shottas criminal gang. His criminal record includes the modification of a dump truck loaded with explosive devices intended for the Palmira military base and the attack on the El Rodeo neighborhood police station, also in Jamundí, among other crimes.

The captured individual was turned over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.

With this result, the National Army reaffirms its commitment to the security and defense of the nation and encourages citizens to report any criminal activity to the following hotlines: 107 (Antiterrorism), 147 (Military Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Group), and 141 (Against Child Recruitment).
