Presunto integrante del Clan del Golfo se somete a la justicia en Bogotá.

En un acto voluntario de sometimiento a la justicia, un presunto integrante del Clan del Golfo, conocido con el alias de Emanuel, se presentó ante las instalaciones del Batallón de Ingenieros de Combate N.° 13 General Antonio Baraya, adscrito a la Décima Tercera Brigada, en Bogotá.

El hombre, de 25 años de edad, manifestó su intención de abandonar las filas del Frente Jáder Benítez Pantoja de esta estructura criminal, motivado por la constante presión militar ejercida por las tropas del Ejército Nacional en el sur del departamento del Chocó, donde las operaciones han debilitado significativamente su accionar delictivo.

Alias Emanuel afirmó haber ingresado a esta organización en el año 2023, en el área general del municipio de Chigorodó, Antioquia, y posteriormente fue trasladado al departamento del Chocó, donde permaneció más de dos años. Según su testimonio, fue reclutado mediante engaños y falsas promesas de mejorar su situación económica.

Respecto a su decisión de abandonar el grupo armado organizado, señaló que, al no ver posibilidades de ascenso ni reconocimiento dentro de la organización, planeó su fuga aprovechando un descuido durante su turno de guardia. Posteriormente, se desplazó hasta Bogotá, donde se entregó voluntariamente a las autoridades.

El teniente coronel Carlos Andrés Ledesma Soto, comandante del Batallón de Ingenieros de Combate N.° 13 General Antonio Baraya, envió un mensaje a los integrantes de los grupos armados organizados al margen de la ley:

«Invitamos a todos los integrantes de las disidencias de las FARC, el Clan del Golfo, el ELN y demás estructuras ilegales, a que se presenten de manera voluntaria en las unidades acantonadas en la ciudad de Bogotá, con el fin de acogerse al programa de sometimiento individual y desmovilización que ofrece el Gobierno Nacional».
