Dos presuntos integrantes del GAO ELN se presentaron de manera voluntaria al Ejército en Norte de Santander.

Las dos personas iniciaron el proceso que les permite recibir los beneficios ofrecidos por el Gobierno Nacional.

En desarrollo del plan de operaciones Ayacucho Plus, tropas del Ejército Nacional lograron la presentación voluntaria de dos sujetos que manifestaron ser integrantes del Frente Urbano Camilo Torres del grupo armado organizado (GAO) ELN. 

Al momento de la presentación entregaron un arma larga, un arma corta, dos proveedores, munición de diferente calibre y una granada de mano, material de guerra que fue puesto a disposición de la autoridad competente.

Teniendo en cuenta que una de las personas que se presentó es un menor de edad fue puesto a disposición del Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar para que, a cargo de esta entidad, inicie el proceso de restablecimiento de los derechos conforme al código de infancia y adolescencia; por su parte el desmovilizado inició el protocolo para la reincorporación a la vida civil.

La Trigésima Brigada continúa el desarrollo de operaciones en pro de la seguridad de los habitantes del nororiente colombiano.

Two alleged members of the ELN armed group voluntarily surrendered to the Army in Norte de Santander.

The two individuals began the process that allows them to receive the benefits offered by the National Government.

As part of Operation Ayacucho Plus, troops of the National Army secured the voluntary surrender of two individuals who identified themselves as members of the Camilo Torres Urban Front of the ELN armed group.

At the time of their surrender, they handed over a rifle, a handgun, two magazines, ammunition of various calibers, and a hand grenade. This war materiel was turned over to the appropriate authorities.

Given that one of the individuals who surrendered is a minor, he was placed in the care of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF) so that this entity could begin the process of restoring his rights in accordance with the Code for Children and Adolescents. The demobilized individual, meanwhile, began the protocol for reintegration into civilian life.

The 30th Brigade continues its operations to ensure the safety of residents in northeastern Colombia.
