Ejército Nacional captura a alias Garrote, presunto responsable del ataque terrorista con motobomba en Calamar, Guaviare.

En una operación coordinada con la Policía Nacional, tropas del Batallón de Infantería de Selva N.° 24 General Camacho Leyva y el Batallón de Fuerzas Urbanas N.° 4, lograron en el casco urbano del municipio de Calamar, Guaviare, la captura por orden judicial de un sujeto requerido por las autoridades competentes.

De acuerdo con información de inteligencia, alias Garrote, integrante de las disidencias de las FARC, bajo el mando de alias Iván Mordisco, sería el presunto responsable de múltiples actos delictivos en esta zona del país. Entre ellos, se le atribuye el ataque terrorista con motobomba, perpetrado el pasado 4 de julio, en el parque principal de Calamar, que dejó como saldo seis militares y tres civiles heridos. Además, estaría vinculado al cobro de extorsiones y a la presión sobre la población civil  para ir en contra de la Fuerza Pública en esta región del Guaviare.

La operación se desarrolló bajo estrictos protocolos de seguridad y con pleno respeto de los derechos fundamentales, reafirmando el compromiso del Ejército Nacional con la protección de la población civil y la consolidación de la seguridad en el suroriente del país.

Este resultado se enmarca en la ofensiva operacional contra los grupos armados organizados al margen de la ley y sus redes de apoyo, debilitando sus capacidades criminales y evitando que continúen afectando a las comunidades.

La Brigada de Selva N.° 22 de la Cuarta División recuerda a la ciudadanía que la denuncia oportuna, a través de la línea gratuita 147, es fundamental para avanzar en la lucha contra la criminalidad y garantizar la tranquilidad de los habitantes del oriente colombiano.

According to intelligence information, alias Garrote, a member of the FARC dissidents under the command of alias Iván Mordisco, is allegedly responsible for multiple criminal acts in this area of ​​the country. Among them, he is accused of carrying out a terrorist motorcycle bomb attack on July 4th in the main park of Calamar, which left six soldiers and three civilians injured. He is also believed to be linked to extortion and pressure on the civilian population to oppose the security forces in this region of Guaviare.
