Gobernador Villalba y autoridades reciben al representante Julio César Triana, tras atentado en La Plata.

Neiva, 13 de agosto de 2025. En la base aérea de la Novena Brigada, el gobernador del Huila, Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera, junto con autoridades civiles, militares y de Policía, recibieron al representante a la Cámara por el Huila, Julio César Triana, quien llegó sano y salvo luego de sufrir un atentado en el municipio La Plata.

El representante Triana expresó su agradecimiento a Dios, a las autoridades y al mandatario departamental por el apoyo y la oportuna coordinación que permitió su traslado seguro hasta la ciudad de Neiva.

“Quiero expresar mi gratitud con las autoridades civiles, militares, el gobernador del Huila, el doctor Rodrigo, quien ha estado en comunicación desde el momento en que ocurrieron estos lamentables hechos, al Ejército, a la Policía, por traerme aquí a Neiva, y agradecerle especialmente a Dios, que hoy me da la oportunidad de llegar a mi casa a ver a mi esposa y mis hijos. Lo único que yo esperaría y puedo decir aquí es que ojalá un hecho como el que viví hoy no lo viva ningún huilense y ningún colombiano”, manifestó el congresista.

Por su parte, el gobernador Villalba destacó la rápida reacción de las autoridades y reiteró su rechazo categórico frente a los hechos.

“Estamos complacidos porque recibimos al representante sano y salvo después de ese atentado que condenamos con toda la fuerza y determinación. Desde el primer momento estuvimos atentos, hablando con el representante, con las autoridades y coordinando lo que correspondía. El propio comandante de la brigada se desplazó en helicóptero para traerlo desde Paicol. Ahora la Fiscalía adelanta las diligencias para esclarecer los hechos”, indicó el mandatario.

El Gobernador recordó que ya estaba programado un Consejo de Seguridad en La Plata —una de las zonas más afectadas por el orden público en el departamento—,el cual se mantiene y se desarrollará con mayor rigor, con la presencia de funcionarios del alto gobierno.

“Este encuentro nos permitirá analizar a fondo la situación y tomar decisiones conjuntas con el gobierno central para brindar tranquilidad y seguridad a todos los huilenses”, puntualizó Villalba.

At the Ninth Brigade air base, the Governor of Huila, Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera, along with civilian, military, and police authorities, welcomed Representative Julio César Triana to the House of Representatives for Huila, who arrived safe and sound after being attacked in the municipality of La Plata.

Representative Triana expressed his gratitude to God, the authorities, and the departmental leader for the support and timely coordination that allowed for his safe transfer to the city of Neiva.

«I want to express my gratitude to the civil and military authorities, the governor of Huila, Dr. Rodrigo, who has been in communication since the moment these unfortunate events occurred, the Army, and the Police, for bringing me here to Neiva, and I especially thank God, who today gives me the opportunity to return home to see my wife and children. The only thing I would hope for, and can say here, is that I hope no Huila resident or Colombian ever experiences an event like the one I experienced today,» the congressman stated.

For his part, Governor Villalba highlighted the swift reaction of the authorities and reiterated his categorical condemnation of the events.

“We are pleased to have received the representative safe and sound after this attack, which we condemn with all our strength and determination. From the first moment, we were attentive, speaking with the representative and the authorities, and coordinating the necessary measures. The brigade commander himself traveled by helicopter to bring him from Paicol. Now the Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out the investigation to clarify the events,” the governor stated.

The Governor recalled that a Security Council meeting was already scheduled in La Plata—one of the areas most affected by public order in the department—which is ongoing and will be held with greater rigor, with the presence of high-ranking government officials.

“This meeting will allow us to thoroughly analyze the situation and make joint decisions with the central government to provide peace and security to all Huila residents,” Villalba stated.
