Actividad médica y humanitaria en el Archipiélago liderada por Fuerzas Militares

Con el objetivo de fortalecer el acceso a servicios de salud y bienestar en el Archipiélago, la Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana, FAC, a través del Grupo Aéreo del Caribe, GACAR, en conjunto con la Armada Nacional de Colombia, ARC, llevó a cabo una jornada de atención humanitaria en las islas de Providencia y Santa Catalina.

Para el desarrollo de esta jornada, se movilizó un total de cuatro toneladas de ayuda humanitaria hacia el GACAR, desde donde fueron embarcadas en un buque de la ARC. La travesía marítima, con una duración aproximada de ocho horas, permitió el transporte seguro de insumos, personal y equipos hasta la isla de Providencia, garantizando la exitosa ejecución de esta actividad en beneficio de sus habitantes.

Finalmente, luego de 15 horas de trabajo, se realizaron 5.797 donaciones y 2.480 atenciones en 13 especialidades médicas, todas orientadas al beneficio de la población raizal e isleña.

De esta manera, las Fuerzas Militares continúan llevando salud y bienestar a las zonas más apartadas del país, donde el acceso a estos servicios es limitado.

With the goal of strengthening access to health and well-being services in the archipelago, the Colombian Aerospace Force (FAC), through the Caribbean Air Group (GACAR), in conjunction with the Colombian National Navy (ARC), carried out a humanitarian assistance campaign on the islands of Providencia and Santa Catalina.

For this campaign, a total of four tons of humanitarian aid were transported to the GACAR, from where they were loaded onto an ARC vessel. The sea voyage, lasting approximately eight hours, enabled the safe transport of supplies, personnel, and equipment to the island of Providencia, ensuring the successful execution of this activity for the benefit of its inhabitants.

Finally, after 15 hours of work, 5,797 donations were made and 2,480 services were provided across 13 medical specialties, all aimed at benefiting the Raizal and island population.

In this way, the Military Forces continue to bring health and well-being to the most remote areas of the country, where access to these services is limited.
