Between 1922 and 1926, three fires almost completely consumed the capital of Caldas, for this reason in Pereira, the second most important municipality in Caldas, at that time, they took on the task of obtaining the first fire engine that arrived in 1927.
This would be the beginning of the Official Pereira Fire Department.
On February 27, this Institution celebrated 97 years of a Modern and qualified Institution, which day by day goes for more spaces and technology, it was a celebration of camaraderie and more open doors to the community and media.
