Para dar cumplimiento con las elecciones, desde el pasado 18 de octubre, se anunció el despliegue de más de 167.000.000 tarjetas electorales en las 119. 875 mesas de votación dispuestas en los 1.103 municipios del país para las elecciones territoriales del domingo. Cada kit electoral será entregado a los 831.913 jurados de votación designados para estos comicios. Sin embargo, se conoció que el material electoral aún no ha podido ser entregado en algunas zonas.

La propia Registraduría confirmó el polémico encuentro que se hizo en un hotel cercano al aeropuerto El Dorado de Bogotá. “El registrador nacional, Alexander Vega Rocha, se reúne en Bogotá con los delegados que integran la mesa de diálogos de paz entre el Gobierno nacional y el denominado Estado Mayor Central de las Farc-EP”, se informó en un trino.

Vega les dejó claro a las partes que se debe ”garantizar la tranquila realización de las elecciones, la plena seguridad que debe tener el personal de apoyo, la logística, la población civil y las mesas de votación, especialmente de 21 puestos ubicados en Cauca, Nariño, Guaviare y Meta y la urgencia de evitar confrontaciones armadas con la fuerza pública que presta protección en regiones en las que hacen presencia las disidencias de las Farc que adelantan diálogos de paz y las cuales acordaron cese bilateral de hostilidades hasta el 15 de enero del 2024″.
