Avioneta de la Fuerza Aérea se estrelló en importante barrio de Cali: un muerto y un herido tras el accidente. La aeronave se precipitó mientras un importante grupo de transeúntes se movilizaban por la zona, exactamente en el parque Jorge Isaacs. Se confirmó que el piloto falleció en el siniestro.

Los bomberos atienden la emergencia, mientras el resto de autoridades intentan establecer los motivos de este accidente. Se espera el reporte inicial para determinar el número de afectados, luego que la avioneta cayera sobre la carrera 8 con calle 26, en el barrio La Base.

Preliminarmente, al lugar arribaron dos máquinas con ocho bomberos y así mismo, una ambulancia con dos paramédicos para atender la situación. La emergencia inicialmente intentó ser controlada por la misma ciudadanía, pues algunas personas que transitaban por la zona intentaron apagar el incendio tras el accidente, usando extintores con el único propósito de salvar la vida de la tripulación.

Frente al caso, el cabo Marco Antonio Gómez Montaño, Coordinador del Centro de Operaciones de Bomberos Voluntarios de Cali, explicó que en total fueron tres máquinas las que se dirigieron al sitio, luego de haber recibido el llamado pasadas las 7:30 de la mañana. En el sitio de la emergencia se atendió la situación mediante las máquinas extintoras, pues el fuego estaba consumiendo los restos de la aeronave.

“Se recibió el llamado a las 7:32 minutos de un accidente aéreo que tenemos nosotros en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali. Nos informan de la caída de una avioneta; al lugar desplazamos tres máquinas extintoras, una ambulancia, un carro de investigación de incendios a lugar de la emergencia, al llegar al sitio encontramos la avioneta incendiada, se comienza a trabajar con línea de mano de 2 pulgadas y pulgadas y media para el control del incendio”, explicó Montaño.

La FAC (Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana) confirmó que la aeronave pertenecía a esta institución y estaba en misión de instrucción.
