The Attorney General’s Office is investigating the construction of the first phase of Avenida Lo Colibríes in Pereira, which was initially budgeted at $32 billion pesos but has cost more than $52 billion without being completed.
The director of the Risaralda Prosecutor’s Office, César Augusto Bolaños Saldarriaga, has announced the start of a preliminary investigation into work contract number 4812 of 2021 related to the construction of this avenue that connects Pereira with Cerritos.
The crucial thing is to communicate that this case has been prioritized and that evidentiary materials are being actively collected.
A specialized team from the city of Bogotá is working on the expert part with the CTI researchers from Risaralda.
During the course of the investigation, proceedings will be carried out involving the consortium responsible for the work, the former secretary of infrastructure, the legal secretary and the administrator of the resources, CARLOS ALBERTO MAYA LÓPEZ.
