ROM DOSQUEBRADAS, TTIANA LÓPEZ SAYS I WANT TO BE MAYOR.

In an interview with the online newspaper www.notieje.com, the councilor of Dosquebradas and current councilor of the opposition sector and former candidate for mayor for the u party, expressed her opinions on her political role, the challenges faced and her current aspirations.
López clarified that she has not made any decision regarding a possible candidacy for the House of Representatives, ruling out her participation in a list of the liberal party.
I am currently a councilor of the opposition, I hold the departmental vice presidency of the u party and I preside over the party in dosquebradas.
A member since 2006, joining a liberal list would mean that I would resign now, and also the board of directors.
If I make a decision, it would be within the u party.
She said that her dream is not to reach Congress, but to continue working for the development of Dosquebradas and, eventually, to become mayor of the city.
Regarding being an opposition councilor, she said that it is a complex exercise, especially due to the lack of differentiation between political positions and personal relationships.
You have to know how to differentiate between a political position and friendship.
Those who were my friends, today no longer want to be my friends. I point out that she has faced personal attacks on social networks and in the municipal council, but that she has maintained respect for her colleagues and has supported initiatives that she considers positive for the community.
That she is angry, that she is annoying, a bad loser, annoying, are some of the accusations that she has been subjected to, but she says that they do not affect her to continue exercising her role as an opposition councilor.
I am not against horsemen, I know horsemen who love their horses and take care of them, but the mayor’s office failed in the administration and control of alcoholic beverages and everything ended in the chaos that we saw.
That is why I consider Mayor Roberto Jiménez Naranjo’s announcement to expand the parade next year to be challenging.
