The investigation chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice opened an investigation against five senators of the republic, among them is the senator from Risaraldense for the conservative party, Juan Samy Merheg Marún.

Apparently, Senator Merheg allegedly received bribes for his alleged participation in contract management, apparently during the government of former President Iván Duque Márquez.
