The initiative, called ‘Economic Reactivation with Social Justice and Environmental Justice’ is $20.41 billion (3.29%) higher than the approved budget for 2024, which amounted to $502.59 billion.
The Government is committed to optimizing the use of public resources, guaranteeing transparency and efficiency in each project financed with State resources.
Likewise, the Head of State and the entire Cabinet referred to the situation in Venezuela, a topic on which an analysis was made of the economic situation of the neighboring country, which continues to have significant repercussions in Colombia, especially in terms of migration and border security.
The Council of Ministers discussed strategies to strengthen international cooperation, as well as measures to support Venezuelans who have arrived in Colombian territory in search of better living conditions.
It was reaffirmed that transparency is the path to peace in Venezuela, while seeking sustainable and coordinated solutions with the international community.
