Hay un verdad profunda que he aprendido escuchando al país: Colombia se sostiene gracias a quienes cuidan. Cuidando a los que trabajan desde la madrugada, los que crían con amor , los que educan o paciencia , los que acompañan a los demás  incluso cuando nadie los acompaña a ellos. Cuidan los que abren un negocio con el corazón acelerado, los que ponen orden en los hogares, los que luchan con el estudio de sus hijos, los que sostienen a sus padres, los que mantienen viva la esperanza incluso en los días difíciles . Colombia se mueve grcias a esos héroes silenciosos que cargan la vida  en los hombros sin pedir aplausos . En un país donde más  del 44% de los trabajadores vive de la informalidad, donde más de 13 millones  de personas aún  enfrentan pobreza , y donde millones  de jóvenes buscan  un empleo que les dé estabilidad, la mayor fortaleza que tenemos no son las cifras: es la gente que, a pesar de todo, cuida cuidan quienes trabajan  doble jornada  para pagar un arriendo.

Cuando quienes estudian en la noche porque en el día sostienen una familia. Cuidan mientras emprenden sin garantía, pero con Valencia. Cuidan mientras atienden  un negocio, un salón de clase , un paciente, un cultivo, una casa un sueño. Cuidan mientras escuchan, quienes acompañan, quienes guían. Y lo más importante: cuidan quienes con su empleo, enseñan a los demás  a o rendirse. Mi opinión es clara: un país solo puede avanzar si aprende a cuidar a quienes cuidan. Si reconoce el esfuerzo silencioso de millones de ciudadanos que hacen posible que otros dan por sentado. Si valora la ética  cotidiana,  esa que no aparece en los titulares  pero que sostiene la convivencia, la economía, la familia y la esperanza. Cuidar a los que cuidan es reconocer la dignidad de cada oficio.

Es entender que el trabajo honesto es un acto de grandeza.

Es creer que la educación es una posibilidad real para trasformar vidas, no un privilegio para unos pocos. Es defender la importancia  de que cada colombiano pueda vivir con dignidad, seguridad y estabilidad . Es respetar la labor de quienes dedican su vida a sostener a otras[LAF1] .

Colombia necesita una vida más humana, más amplia, más profunda una mirada que entienda  que el corazón del país late en la ciudadanía. Que las raíces de la esperanza  crecen donde hay responsabilidad , amor,  disciplina y solidaridad,. Yo creo profundamente en la gente que cuida. Porque son ellos quienes, con su fuerza silenciosa, han mantenido este país de pie incluso cuando las circunstancias han sido duras.

Son ellos quienes han demostrado que la esperanza no es una idea: es una ´práctica diaria. Son ellos quienes nos recuerdan que el verdadero progreso  se construye desde la ida real , desde la casa, desde l calle, desde la comunidad. Por eso, desde mi voz y desde mi propósito, elijo poner el foco allí: en honrar, en escuchar, acompañar y protegerá quienes sostienen a Colombia  con su esfuerzo. A quienes trabajan  con ética. A quienes no sueltan sus sueños . A quienes cuidan, incluso cuando nadie los cuida a ellos.

There is a profound truth I have learned by listening to the country: Colombia is sustained by those who care. Caring for those who work from dawn, those who raise children with love, those who educate with patience, those who support others even when no one supports them. Those who open a business with a racing heart, those who bring order to homes, those who struggle with their children’s education, those who support their parents, those who keep hope alive even in difficult times. Colombia moves forward thanks to these silent heroes who carry life on their shoulders without asking for applause. In a country where over 44% of workers live in the informal sector, where more than 13 million people still face poverty, and where millions of young people seek stable employment, our greatest strength isn’t the statistics: it’s the people who, despite everything, care for those who work double shifts to pay rent. They care for those who study at night because they support a family during the day. They care while starting businesses without guarantees, but with heart. They care while running a business, a classroom, caring for a patient, tending a crop, a home, or pursuing a dream. They care while listening, those who accompany, those who guide. And most importantly: they care for those who, through their work, teach others not to give up. My opinion is clear: a country can only move forward if it learns to care for those who care. If it recognizes the silent efforts of millions of citizens who make possible what others take for granted. If it values ​​everyday ethics, the kind that doesn’t make headlines but sustains coexistence, the economy, family, and hope. Caring for caregivers means recognizing the dignity of every profession.

It means understanding that honest work is an act of greatness.

It means believing that education is a real possibility for transforming lives, not a privilege for a few. It means defending the importance of every Colombian being able to live with dignity, security, and stability. It means respecting the work of those who dedicate their lives to supporting others.
Colombia needs a more humane, broader, and deeper way of life—a perspective that understands that the heart of the country beats in its citizens. That the roots of hope grow where there is responsibility, love, discipline, and solidarity. I deeply believe in caregivers. Because it is they who, with their quiet strength, have kept this country standing even when circumstances have been difficult.

It is they who have shown that hope is not an idea: it is a daily practice. It is they who remind us that true progress is built from real life, from the home, from the street, from the community. Therefore, through my voice and my purpose, I choose to focus on that: honoring, listening to, supporting, and protecting those who sustain Colombia with their efforts. Those who work ethically. Those who never give up on their dreams. Those who care for others, even when no one cares for them.
