



International Seminar on Actors, Responsibilities, and Challenges in the Fight Against Mining-Related Crimes in Colombia

From April 21st to 25th, the «International Seminar on Actors, Responsibilities, and Challenges in the Fight Against Mining-Related Crimes in Colombia» is being held by the General Command of the Armed Forces through the Joint Intelligence and Counterintelligence Department and the General Rafael Reyes Prieto War College.
The seminar was presided over by Vice Admiral León Ernesto Espinosa Torres, Director of the War College; Rear Admiral Norman Iván Cabrera Martínez, Head of the Joint Intelligence and Counterintelligence Department; Brigadier General Rafael Olaya Quintero, Commander of the Orinoquia Naval Force; and Colonel José Luis Bastidas Moreno, Head of the Joint Operations Department.
This seminar was held at the War College in front of more than 100 people, including military intelligence and operations analysts and delegates from various entities. The aim was to strengthen intelligence and operations capabilities in support of the decapitalization of criminal finances and promote inter-institutional synergy.
It also sought to foster unified action with entities whose mission is related to the fight against mining-related crimes in Colombia, through a forum for knowledge transfer and inter-institutional coordination.
