Miércoles 26 de noviembre 2025 – Día Mundial del Acceso a la Educación Superior.
Cada 26 de noviembre se celebra el Día Mundial del Acceso a la Educación Superior, una efeméride significativa que pretende generar conciencia acerca de los desequilibrios y desigualdades que existen en la actualidad acerca del acceso y continuidad en la Educación Superior, a nivel mundial.
En tal sentido, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO) destaca la importancia del acceso igualitario y equitativo a la educación superior, como uno de los objetivos globales que forman parte de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible.
El Día Mundial del Acceso a la Educación Superior se celebra desde el año 2018, por iniciativa de la Red Nacional de Oportunidades de Educación (Education Opportunities Network #NEON). Tiene su sede en el Reino Unido, orientada a la ejecución de acciones necesarias para ampliar el acceso a la Educación Superior.
El acceso a la Educación Superior no se trata solamente de ingresar al sistema de educación superior. Todos los estudiantes deben disponer de las mismas opciones y alternativas de manera justa y equitativa, independientemente de su origen, nivel económico, género y religión.

MINICUENTO 2026 – RUDAFRA. LA VIDA DEL PADRE BEHÍTMAN CÉSPEDES DE LOS RÍOS
La historia del Padre Behítman Alberto Céspedes De los Ríos comienza en las tierras altas de Riosucio-Caldas, donde nació en el año de 1962. Sus primeros años estuvieron marcados por la disciplina académica, culminando su bachillerato en el Instituto Nacional Los Fundadores, donde se forjó la base de su inagotable sed de conocimiento.

Sin embargo, su destino no se limitaba a las aulas seculares. La voz de la fe resonó con claridad, llevándolo a la Diócesis de Pereira. En el Seminario Mayor María Inmaculada en Dosquebradas, dedicó los años de 1981 a 1983 al estudio de la Filosofía, seguido por la Teología de 1984 a 1987. El 22 de noviembre de 1987, Behítman Alberto Céspedes De los Ríos fue ordenado Sacerdote, iniciando un camino de servicio que trascendería la parroquia.
Para el Padre Behítman Céspedes de los Ríos, la ordenación no fue una culminación, sino un nuevo punto de partida. Con la misma disciplina que movía un reloj suizo, emprendió una travesía académica que lo llevaría por continentes: Pereira: Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Educación Religiosa en la Universidad Católica de Pereira. / Armenia: Se especializó en Educación en Derechos Humanos en la Universidad Santo Tomás, fusionando la fe con la justicia social. / Roma: En la histórica Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana, se convirtió en Magister en Teología con Especialización en Teología Bíblica, sumergiéndose en el estudio de la Sagrada Escritura. / Medellín: Finalmente, coronó su formación con el título de Doctor en Teología de la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, erigiéndose como un intelectual de la fe.
Actualmente, el Padre Behítman Céspedes de los Ríos, es una columna vertebral de la Diócesis de Pereira y una figura central en el ámbito educativo. Su lista de responsabilidades es un testimonio de su capacidad de liderazgo y su profundo conocimiento: Se desempeña como Vicario Episcopal de Cultura en la Diócesis, una fusión de fe y promoción del arte. / Es el Sacerdote Adscrito de la Catedral de Pereira, manteniendo su conexión directa con el servicio pastoral. / Es el Rector de la Universidad Católica de Pereira, guiando a una de las instituciones educativas más importantes de la región.
Además, su pasión por la enseñanza se refleja en su rol como Profesor de Sagrada Escritura en el Seminario Mayor y en la Escuela Diocesana de Teología. Su voz es también consultada en espacios seculares, siendo Miembro permanente del Consejo Regional del SENA Risaralda.
Su influencia no solo se siente en las aulas y los púlpitos, sino también en las páginas. Sus publicaciones reflejan la amplitud de sus intereses, desde la defensa de las familias hasta el estudio profundo de los textos sagrados: 1997: Sectas y cultos satánicos. / 1999: El Derecho al descanso de las madres de familia. / 2013: Curso de Teología Bíblica. (Edición Digital) / 2015: Las otras bienaventuranzas evangélicas.
El Padre Behítman Alberto Céspedes De los Ríos, el hombre de Riosucio que viajó por el mundo para estudiar los textos antiguos, hoy es el arquitecto del espíritu y la mente de su Diócesis, un Sacerdote que demuestra que la fe y el conocimiento son caminos paralelos hacia la verdad.

Every November 26, World Access to Higher Education Day is celebrated, a significant event that aims to raise awareness about the imbalances and inequalities that currently exist regarding access to and continuation of higher education worldwide.

In this regard, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) highlights the importance of equal and equitable access to higher education as one of the global goals that form part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

World Access to Higher Education Day has been celebrated since 2018, at the initiative of the National Education Opportunities Network (NEON). Based in the United Kingdom, NEON focuses on implementing the necessary actions to expand access to higher education.

Access to higher education is not just about getting into the higher education system. All students should have the same options and alternatives in a fair and equitable manner, regardless of their background, economic status, gender, or religion.

MINI-STORY 2026 – RUDAFRA. THE LIFE OF FATHER BEHÍTMAN CÉSPEDES DE LOS RÍOS
The story of Father Behítman Alberto Céspedes De los Ríos begins in the highlands of Riosucio, Caldas, where he was born in 1962. His early years were marked by academic discipline, culminating in his high school studies at the Instituto Nacional Los Fundadores, where the foundation of his insatiable thirst for knowledge was forged.

However, his destiny was not limited to the secular classroom. The voice of faith resonated clearly, leading him to the Diocese of Pereira. At the Immaculate Mary Major Seminary in Dosquebradas, he dedicated the years 1981 to 1983 to the study of Philosophy, followed by Theology from 1984 to 1987. On November 22, 1987, Behítman Alberto Céspedes De los Ríos was ordained a priest, beginning a path of service that would transcend the parish.

For Father Behítman Céspedes de los Ríos, ordination was not a culmination, but a new starting point. With the same discipline that keeps a Swiss watch moving, he embarked on an academic journey that would take him across continents: Pereira: He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education from the Catholic University of Pereira. / Armenia: He specialized in Human Rights Education at Santo Tomás University, merging faith with social justice. / Rome: At the historic Pontifical Gregorian University, he earned a Master’s degree in Theology with a specialization in Biblical Theology, immersing himself in the study of Sacred Scripture. / Medellín: Finally, he completed his formation with a Doctorate in Theology from the Pontifical Bolivarian University, establishing himself as an intellectual of the faith.

Currently, Father Behítman Céspedes de los Ríos is a pillar of the Diocese of Pereira and a central figure in the field of education. His list of responsibilities is a testament to his leadership skills and profound knowledge: He serves as Episcopal Vicar for Culture in the Diocese, a fusion of faith and the promotion of the arts. / He is the Assigned Priest of the Cathedral of Pereira, maintaining his direct connection to pastoral service. / He is the Rector of the Catholic University of Pereira, guiding one of the most important educational institutions in the region.

Furthermore, his passion for teaching is reflected in his role as Professor of Sacred Scripture at the Major Seminary and the Diocesan School of Theology. His voice is also consulted in secular forums, as he is a permanent member of the SENA Risaralda Regional Council.
