Ejército Nacional propina duro golpe a la delincuencia organizada en Quibdó, Chocó

Con la captura de 12 sujetos, presuntos integrantes del grupo delincuencial organizado Los Mexicanos, que serían responsables de delitos como porte ilegal de armas de fuego, homicidio, hurto y extorsión, el Ejército Nacional contribuye a la estabilización de la seguridad en la ciudad de Quibdó, Chocó.

En el marco de operaciones militares conjuntas, coordinadas e interinstitucionales, tropas de la Décima Quinta Brigada del Ejército Nacional, en colaboración con la Armada de Colombia, la Policía Nacional y la Fiscalía General de la Nación, lograron la captura en flagrancia de 12 presuntos integrantes del grupo delincuencial Los Mexicanos, quienes serían responsables de diversas acciones criminales registradas en la ciudad.

Las capturas se realizaron durante diligencias de registro y allanamiento en 8 viviendas del sector Cabí, en el municipio de Quibdó, Chocó, donde fueron detenidos 10 hombres y 2 mujeres. En su poder tenían 7 armas de fuego, proveedores, municiones de diferentes calibres, material de intendencia y comunicaciones.

Entre los capturados se encuentran alias Fercho y alias Alexánder, sujetos que al parecer se habían fugado del Establecimiento Penitenciario de Mediana Seguridad y Carcelario de Quibdó La Victoria, el pasado 15 de abril, y eran requeridos judicialmente por el delito de fabricación, tráfico, porte o tenencia de armas de fuego, accesorios, partes o municiones.

Así mismo, se logró la recuperación de un menor de edad, que fue entregado al Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar para la restitución de sus derechos.

Los capturados tienen antecedentes por porte ilegal de armas de fuego, homicidio, hurto, extorsión, amenaza y desplazamiento forzado, y, junto con el material incautado, fueron puestos a disposición de la autoridad competente para su respectivo proceso de judicialización.

El Ejército Nacional, a través de la Décima Quinta Brigada, continuará adelantando operaciones militares contundentes que reafirmen su compromiso con la seguridad y tranquilidad de la población civil.

With the capture of 12 individuals, alleged members of the Los Mexicanos organized criminal group, who are allegedly responsible for crimes such as illegal possession of firearms, homicide, theft, and extortion, the National Army contributes to the stabilization of security in the city of Quibdó, Chocó.

As part of joint, coordinated, and inter-institutional military operations, troops from the Fifteenth Brigade of the National Army, in collaboration with the Colombian Navy, the National Police, and the Attorney General’s Office, captured 12 alleged members of the Los Mexicanos criminal group in flagrante delicto. They are allegedly responsible for various criminal activities reported in the city.

The arrests were made during search and seizure operations at eight homes in the Cabí sector of the municipality of Quibdó, Chocó. Ten men and two women were detained. They were found with seven firearms, ammunition of various calibers, and quartermaster and communications equipment.

Among those arrested were alias Fercho and alias Alexánder, individuals who had apparently escaped from the Quibdó La Victoria Medium Security Penitentiary and Prison on April 15 and were wanted for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying, or possessing firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition.

A minor was also recovered and handed over to the Colombian Family Welfare Institute for the restoration of his rights.

Those arrested have prior convictions for illegal possession of firearms, homicide, theft, extortion, threats, and forced displacement. Along with the seized material, they were handed over to the competent authority for prosecution.

The National Army, through the Fifteenth Brigade, will continue to carry out decisive military operations that reaffirm its commitment to the safety and peace of the civilian population.
