Tropas del Ejército frustran planes criminales del Bloque Jorge Suárez Briceño en el norte del Huila

La operación permitió la capturada de dos de sus integrantes, luego de combates registrados en la zona.

En desarrollo de operaciones militares ofensivas en contra de los grupos armados organizados residuales (GAO-r), tropas de la Novena Brigada del Ejército Nacional lograron neutralizar las pretensiones del denominado Bloque Jorge Suárez Briceño Subestructura Darío Gutiérrez, en la vereda Nueva Reforma del municipio de Baraya.

La contundente acción fue posible gracias al trabajo conjunto entre el Batallón de Artillería N.° 9 Tenerife, el Batallón de Movilidad y Maniobra de Aviación N.° 5, la Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana y en coordinación con el Gaula Élite de la Policía Nacional.

Durante operaciones en profundidad, las unidades militares sostuvieron un enfrentamiento armado con integrantes de esta estructura criminal, quienes previamente habrían asesinado a una mujer, hechos que ya están siendo materia de investigación por parte de las autoridades competentes y serán denunciados por su flagrante violación al derecho internacional humanitario.

In the course of offensive military operations against residual organized armed groups (GAO-r), troops from the National Army’s Ninth Brigade managed to neutralize the attempts of the so-called Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, Darío Gutiérrez Substructure, in the Nueva Reforma district of the municipality of Baraya.

The decisive action was made possible thanks to the joint work of the 9th Tenerife Artillery Battalion, the 5th Aviation Mobility and Maneuver Battalion, the Colombian Aerospace Force, and in coordination with the National Police’s Elite Gaula (Gaula Élite).

During in-depth operations, military units engaged in an armed confrontation with members of this criminal organization, who had previously allegedly murdered a woman. These events are already being investigated by the competent authorities and will be reported for their flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

Thus, in their attempt to flee and following the clashes, two members of this illegal group were injured and captured by troops, who provided them with the first aid.
