Capturado por el delito de extorsión en Bogotá

En el marco del Plan de Operaciones Ayacucho Plus, orientado a preservar la seguridad y el bienestar de la ciudadanía, tropas del Gaula Militar, en coordinación con unidades del Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación (CTI – GAULA) de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, lograron la captura de un individuo señalado por el presunto delito de extorsión bajo la modalidad de falso servicio.

La operación se llevó a cabo en el barrio Bosa La Amistad, en la ciudad de Bogotá, donde las autoridades hicieron efectiva la orden de captura del sujeto, quien fue puesto a disposición de la autoridad competente.

Según las investigaciones, un ciudadano del municipio El Arenal, en el departamento de Bolívar, fue contactado mediante engaños para asistir a una reunión en un sector específico. Una vez en el lugar, fue incomunicado y sus captores establecieron contacto con sus familiares, identificándose como integrantes del grupo armado organizado Clan del Golfo, bajo el alias de Comandante Gonzalo. En dicha comunicación, exigieron el pago de una suma cercana a 15 millones de pesos a cambio de su liberación.

Los dineros fueron consignados a nombre del capturado, quien, además, habría extorsionado a comerciantes del departamento de Boyacá, exigiendo pagos de hasta 150 millones de pesos. Estas acciones fueron neutralizadas, lo que permitió la apertura de los procesos judiciales correspondientes.

Gracias a la oportuna denuncia de los hechos y a la acción coordinada de las autoridades, se logró la captura del hombre que presuntamente recibió los dineros exigidos por los delincuentes.

El Ejército Nacional y la Fiscalía General de la Nación reiteran su compromiso con la protección de los derechos de la ciudadanía y la lucha frontal contra los delitos que afectan la tranquilidad de los colombianos.

The operation took place in the Bosa La Amistad neighborhood of Bogotá, where authorities executed the arrest warrant for the individual, who was then handed over to the competent authority.

According to the investigation, a citizen from the municipality of El Arenal, in the department of Bolívar, was contacted through deception to attend a meeting in a specific area. Once there, he was held incommunicado, and his captors contacted his family, identifying themselves as members of the organized armed group Clan del Golfo, under the alias of Commander Gonzalo. In this communication, they demanded payment of approximately 15 million pesos in exchange for his release.

The funds were deposited in the name of the captured man, who also allegedly extorted merchants in the department of Boyacá, demanding payments of up to 150 million pesos. These actions were neutralized, allowing for the opening of the corresponding judicial proceedings.

Thanks to the timely reporting of the incidents and the coordinated action of the authorities, the man who allegedly received the money demanded by the criminals was captured.

The National Army and the Attorney General’s Office reiterate their commitment to protecting citizens’ rights and directly combating crimes that affect the peace of Colombians.
