El Gobierno de Venezuela promueve el respaldo de la “fusión militar-policial-popular” en apoyo de presidente.
La alta jerarquía de la revolución bolivariana se ha puesto en estado de alerta ante el anuncio del gobierno de Estados Unidos, duplicando la recompensa a quien ofrezca información que conduzca al arresto del presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. El líder bolivariano ha sido señalado por Washington como el presunto líder del cartel de los Soles. Este miércoles, el Departamento de Estado informó que había incautado activos de Maduro por unos 700 millones de dólares.
Los poderes públicos del país, todos controlados por los tentáculos del chavismo, emitieron una secuencia de comunicados en solidaridad con Maduro, defendiendo su nombre y negando las acusaciones en su contra. También, en una transmisión en cadena, como ya ocurrió en enero de este año en la víspera de su nueva juramentación como Presidente, todos los componentes de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana, incluyendo la Guardia de Honor Presidencial y la Dirección General de Contrainteligencia Militar, salieron en defensa del presidente. Los pronunciamientos televisados en respaldo a Maduro de la “fusión militar-policial-popular” incluyeron el Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia, la Policía Nacional Bolivariana y la Policía Judicial.
Los rostros de Diosdado Cabello, ministro de Interior y de Justicia, y de Jorge Rodríguez, presidente de la Asamblea Nacional, tienen semblante severo. El tono es terminante y con amenazas. Cabello denunció este lunes el desmantelamiento de “células terroristas”, presuntamente vinculadas con la oposición, en Caracas y Maturín. El ministro acusa a María Corina Machado, líder opositora, y a Iván Simonovis, jefe policial e histórico enemigo del chavismo en el exilio, de estar detrás de ellas.
Uno de estos grupos, afirmó Cabello, pretendía colocar un explosivo en el recién inaugurado monumento de la Victoria de la Gran Guerra Patria contra el Nazifascismo, en honor a la extinta Unión Soviética, que está ubicado cerca de la Plaza Venezuela, en una zona muy céntrica de la ciudad.
En las calles de Caracas y el resto del país continúan, ahora reforzadas, las alcabalas policiales, el “patrullaje estratégico” y los operativos de inteligencia a cielo abierto. Este lunes, el Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela convocó en Caracas a una concentración de sus militantes en respaldo a Maduro.
El canciller venezolano, Yván Gil, dijo que el anuncio de Washington ofreciendo 50 millones de dólares por información que conduzca al arresto de Maduro, acusado de fomentar el terrorismo internacional, es “una operación de propaganda política”, que calificó de “un chiste”. “La cortina de humo más ridícula que hemos visto”, dijo.
“Es una falta de respeto a la inteligencia de todos, de ustedes, generales presentes, que tienen criterio, que conocen el mundo, que se han preparado con tanto esfuerzo, afirmar así sin más, que sus comandantes, que el presidente Maduro, está metido en el narcotráfico”, afirmó el ministro de la Defensa, Vladimir Padrino López, rodeado de los integrantes del Alto Mando en una conferencia de prensa.
Padrino dijo que tales señalamientos constituyen “una inmoralidad”, y que las bandas criminales que la administración Trump alude como soportes o socios de la revolución bolivariana (como el Tren de Aragua) “están totalmente desarticuladas en el país”.
Finalmente, luego de tres días en silencio, Maduro respondió a Estados Unidos. “Soy un hombre de paz”, afirmó en su programa de televisión. “Dejen quieto al que está quieto. Les digo a los imperialistas: no se atrevan, porque la respuesta puede ser el inicio del final del imperio norteamericano”
En esta ocasión, un Diosdado Cabello evidentemente irritado puso un énfasis particular en sus declaraciones para darle a entender a las audiencias que no está jugando con sus denuncias.
Dijo que la alianza de Machado y Simonovis está vinculada con grupos criminales y de narcotráfico asociados con la oligarquía colombiana, que han estado planeando sembrar el terror en el país, y que nadie debería sorprenderse con los nombres que arrojen las investigaciones en desarrollo. “Hay gente que se pregunta qué va a pasar”, comentó. “Lo único que va a pasar es que los vamos a joder”.
Reacción opositora
Mientras, desde la clandestinidad, María Corina Machado redobla su desafío al Gobierno. El apoyo a su causa de algunos —que no de todos— halcones de Washington, en particular de Marco Rubio, secretario de Estado, es manifiesto.
Empeñada en afirmar que el gobierno chavista está mucho más débil de lo que se piensa, expresó su “inmenso agradecimiento” al gobierno de Donald Trump por redoblar el valor de la recompensa de la captura de Maduro. “Pienso que las cosas van a moverse realmente rápido, el mensaje no solo ha llegado a Maduro, sino a los líderes cercanos a él”.
Machado afirmó que la presión “será tan grande”, que Maduro terminará forzado a gestar un acuerdo para abandonar el poder y evitar su captura. Este es un escenario que observadores en Venezuela consideran, en principio, improbable.

Opposition reaction
Meanwhile, from hiding, María Corina Machado raises her challenge to the Government. The support for his cause from some — but not all — Washington hawks, in particular from Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, is this manifesto.
Committed to stating that the Chavista government is much weaker than anyone thinks, he expressed his “immense gratitude” to Donald Trump’s government for redoubling the value of the reward for Maduro’s capture. “I think things are moving really fast, the message on the ground has reached Maduro, bellows to the leaders close to him.”
