Durante actos masivos de respaldo a la candidatura a la Alcaldía de Pereira de Mauricio Salazar Peláez, en las comunas de Villavicencio y Boston, los habitantes de dichos sectores escucharon sus propuestas, entre las que se desatacaron, atención prioritaria a la seguridad en Pereira, seguridad alimentaria, programas sociales para mujeres, niños y adultos mayores, vivienda de interés social, atención a la zona rural, turismo, educación, salud, deporte y cultura.

Anuncios como 2.000 soluciones de vivienda para solventar el déficit que presenta el municipio, donde desde hace 8 años no se suple está necesidad básica de las familias en extrema vulnerabilidad, la implementación del mínimo vital de energía y la vigilancia privada en los parques de la ciudad, “para que los pereiranos puedan ocupar estos espacios para compartir en familia y no sigan como hasta ahora siendo el escenario perfecto de bandidos, que aprovechan la oscuridad y el descuido, para cometer sus actos delictivos”.

De igual manera Mauricio Salazar llegó con su llave a la Gobernación, el médico Javier Marulanda, de quien aseguró es el mejor coequipero que puede tener, “un hombre sin tacha y con vocación de servicio y quien además se ha comprometido con presupuesto para realizar obras de alto impacto en la ciudad de Pereira”.
