Con una fiesta familiar, en un hermoso paraje campestre, en Cerritos-Pereira, fueron celebrados 93 años de vida del Gran Caballero Don Luis Alfonso Duque Arias, el martes 5 de septiembre 2023, abrazado por los corazones amorosos de: su inseparable esposa Evangelina Sanz Santacoloma de Duque (68 años de matrimonio); sus hijos: Gloria Stella -Economista-, Luis Alfonso -Abogado-, María Victoria -Economista-, Jaime Enrique -Diseñador, dibujante- y Martha Adriana -Diseñadora de Interiores-. Sus diez Nietos: Paula Andrea Delgado Duque –Ingeniera Civil-, Ángela María Delgado –Abogada-, Daniela Delgado –Ingeniera Comercial-, Manuela Duque –Psicóloga-, Juan José Ríos Duque –Ingeniero Civil-, Edgar Andrés Arana Duque –abogado-, Daniel Duque –médico-, Juan Manuel Duque –Ingeniero Civil-, Sofía Arana Duque -Abogada-  y Juanita Arana Duque –Abogada- y Sus seis Bisnietos: Sebastián, Mariana, Nicolás, Ana Sofía, Martina y Juan Martín.

LOS FRUTOS

Lúcido y en campo de batalla como líder cafetero y jefe político de avanzada, su formidable y vigente hoja de vida, es ejemplo de pasadas-actuales y futuras generaciones, aplicando la frase de la Madre Teresa de Calcuta: “Quien no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir. El Gran Caballero Luis Alfonso Duque Arias, recoge exitosamente con su numerosa familia, frutos logrados durante sus 93 años de existencia.

SUENAN MATRACAS EN SU MENTE Y EL BAMBUCO PEREIRANO EN SU CORAZÓN

Nació el 5 de septiembre de 1.930 en Pácora-Caldas y arribó muy joven a Pereira, desde extendió su hoja de servicios a todo el Eje Cafetero, destacándose por su liderazgo. Fue compañero político del doctor Jaime Salazar Robledo (q.e.p.d), de Neyda Cárdenas de Castaño (q.e.p.d); del doctor Guillermo Rivera Millán y del doctor Omar Yepes Álzate, enlazados en amistad perdurable.

Luis Alfonso Duque Arias fue Secretario de varias Alcaldías del Antiguo Caldas. Primer Director de la Chec en los Municipios de Quinchía y Belén de Umbría. Durante 39 años sirvió al gremio cafetero, colaborando con todos los campesinos de los 14 municipios de Risaralda, llevando progreso con la construcción de escuelas, acueductos, carreteras, electrificación, brigadas de salud y otras obras de gran importancia.

El Gran Caballero Don Luis Alfonso Duque Arias celebra sus 93 años de vida con matracas en su mente y bambucos pereiranos en su corazón.

He was born on September 5, 1930 in Pácora-Caldas and arrived in Pereira at a very young age, since he extended his service record to the entire Coffee Region, standing out for his leadership. He was a political partner of Dr. Jaime Salazar Robledo (q.e.p.d), of Neyda Cárdenas de Castaño (q.e.p.d); of Dr. Guillermo Rivera Millán and Dr. Omar Yepes Álzate, linked in a lasting friendship.

Luis Alfonso Duque Arias was Secretary of several Mayor’s Offices in Old Caldas. First Director of the Chec in the Municipalities of Quinchía and Belén de Umbría. For 39 years he served the coffee union, collaborating with all the peasants of the 14 municipalities of Risaralda, making progress with the construction of schools, aqueducts, roads, electrification, health brigades and other works of great importance.
