Golpe a la autodenominada Segunda Marquetalia en el sur del Meta: un muerto en desarrollo de la operación militar y abundante material incautado.

En zona rural de la vereda San Jorge, municipio de Puerto Concordia, Meta, tropas del Gaula Militar Meta, sostuvieron un combate de encuentro contra integrantes del Grupo Armado Organizado Residual autodenominado Segunda Marquetalia ? Frente Iván Merchán, en una operación coordinada con la Policía Nacional.

En cumplimiento a orden judicial, soldados del Gaula Militar Meta aseguran el área y al realizar ingreso  al sector, son atacados por presuntos miembros de esta estructura armada ilegal, lo que obliga al uso legítimo de la fuerza a fin de proteger la vida del personal militar y cumplir con la misión constitucional asignada.

Durante la maniobra, se logra la neutralización de un sujeto identificado con el alias ?Mayimbú?, presunto cabecilla de comisión de este grupo criminal, señalado de afectar la seguridad de la población a través de extorsiones, amenazas y presencia armada en la región. En el lugar, también se incauta armamento, munición de diferentes calibres, radios de comunicación, ropa táctica y equipos móviles, elementos que, al parecer, eran empleados por esta estructura para fortalecer su accionar delictivo en el sur del Meta.

Una vez asegurada el área, unidades del Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, realizan los actos urgentes y proceden con la recolección de elementos materiales probatorios, dando inicio a los respectivos procedimientos de judicialización. 

El Ejército Nacional continúa desarrollando operaciones sostenidas y articuladas para proteger a las comunidades del suroriente colombiano, desarticular las redes criminales que persisten en el territorio y garantizar la tranquilidad de los ciudadanos.

In the rural area of the San Jorge village, municipality of Puerto Concordia, Meta, troops from the Meta Military Gaula (Gaula Militar Meta) engaged in a close combat against members of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAULA) calling itself the Second Marquetalia (Iván Merchán Front), in a coordinated operation with the National Police.

In compliance with a court order, soldiers from the GAULA Militar Meta secured the area. Upon entering, they were attacked by alleged members of this illegal armed group, which necessitated the legitimate use of force to protect the lives of military personnel and fulfill their constitutionally assigned mission.

During the operation, an individual identified by the alias «Mayimbú» was neutralized. The alleged leader of this criminal group, accused of affecting public safety through extortion, threats, and armed presence in the region, was found. Weapons, ammunition of various calibers, communication radios, tactical clothing, and mobile equipment were also seized at the scene. These items were apparently used by this organization to strengthen its criminal operations in southern Meta.

Once the area was secured, units of the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General’s Office carried out urgent actions and proceeded to collect material evidence, initiating the respective judicial proceedings.

The National Army continues to carry out sustained and coordinated operations to protect the communities of southeastern Colombia, dismantle the criminal networks that persist in the territory, and guarantee public peace.
