El papa JORGE MARIO BERGOLIO SIVORI, instó a la ciencia esté “ al servicio de los hombres y mujeres de nuestro tiempo y en detrimento de ellos o incluso en su destrucción”, durante una audiencia a los participantes de una conferencia organizada por la “Specola Vaticana”, el observatorio astronómico de la Santa Sede.

Jorge Mario, indicó que esta conferencia será recordada por la figura del sacerdote astrónomo George Lemaitre que defendía que “ la ciencia y la fe siguen dos caminos diferentes y paralelos, y que entre ellos no hay conflicto”.

Y que “de hecho, estos caminos pueden armorizarse entre sí, porque tanto la ciencia como la fé, para un creyente, tienen la misma matriz en la verdad absoluta de Dios”, por lo que “su camino de fe lo lleva a la conciencia de que la creación y el Big Bang son dos realidades distintas”.

A los participantes, el papa los invitó a seguir discutiendo sobre estos temas como “que fe y la ciencia pueden unirse en la cardad, si se pone la ciencia al servicio de los hombres y mujeres de nuestro tiempo, y no desvirtuarlos en detrimentos de ellos o incluso de su destrucción”  “Os animo air a las afueras del conocimiento humano: es aquí donde podemos experimenar  al Dios del Amor, que sacia y sacia la sede de nuestro corazón.
