EN PEREIRA LAS FIESTAS DEL CHUPE HOMENAJE DEL ALCALDE MAYA A LOS ALCOHÓLICOS TRASNOCHADORES. FALTA DE RIGOR HISTÓRICO.

…Feliz aniversario Pereira de mis recuerdos más gratos de niñez y juventud en tus 160 años. Toda una nadería en adolescencia histórica para una ciudad que por lo regular siempre ha sido superior a sus gobernantes.

…Nos sorprende de nuevo el señor alcalde de Pereira con el apodo que continúa colocándole a la ciudad desde el año pasado con motivo de las fiestas aniversarias que otrora, desde los carnavales a principios del siglo XX, que magistralmente describiera nuestro amigo Hugo Angel Jaramillo en su historia de Pereira, despertaban admiración en el resto del país, incluyendo a Manizales.

…el alcalde con su equipo de creativos (ojalá no alicorados por el delicioso “chupe” del aguardiente de Caldas), en un alarde de inspiración cambio el lema de ciudad promisoria anunciadora de la cosecha cafetera (así era en el principio) que valientemente superaba y supera todas las viscisitudes de la naturaleza y en algunas ocasiones de sus mismos hijos.

…pues el burgomaestre pereirano quizá en medio de alguna alicorada tenida de madrugada recibió la inspiración de los dioses del olimpo, especialmente de gentil Baco para colocarle este nuevo apodo a la sufrida villa de don Luciano García, aquel de “en Pereira no hay forasteros porque todos somos pereiranos” para etiquetarla definitivamente como villa de hedonística al estilo de la Roma imperial.

…atrás quedan las intenciones siempre con pocos resultados publicitarios en lo cultural de su emisora oficial y de la academia de historia que siempre ha tratado de “desenlodar” la historia de la ciudad perdida en las ensoñaciones de Jorge Robledo y luego de la clase antioqueña y caucana, en cuyos estados soberanos se cimentó quizás sin proponérselo el espíritu de la ciudad noble y rebelde en la que tendría iguales oportunidades los blancos, los mulatos y los negros caídos desde el agonizar de la guerra de los mil días.

…Pereira, la de varios maestros criollos siempre en su ínterim ha buscado reconciliarse con lo más cercano a la justicia y la libertad de sus gentes mediante el trabajo y el estudio sin dejar de olvidar que todo siempre ha estado mecido en los vapores del alcohol caldense, pero sin llegar a la exageración y despropósito de creer que Pereira con sus mujeres y sus niños es una taberna a la luz de la luna siempre abierta en todas las esquinas.

…Falta rigor histórico para respetar los esfuerzos de los antepasados y colocar cada cosa en su lugar y su lugar en cada cosa. Es decir el alcohol en determinados sitios y horarios y el ejemplo desde el alcalde de la ciudad para dignificar un poco el trajinado accionar matecaña en la nacionalidad colombiana. Menos chupe y más respeto señor Maya!

IN PEREIRA THE FESTIVITIES OF THE SUCK, A TRIBUTE FROM THE MAYAN MAYOR TO THE ALL-NIGHT ALCOHOLICS. LACK OF HISTORICAL ACCURATE.

…Happy anniversary Pereira of my most pleasant memories of childhood and youth in your 160 years. A whole trifle in historical adolescence for a city that has usually always been superior to its rulers.

…We are once again surprised by the mayor of Pereira with the nickname that he continues to give the city since last year on the occasion of the anniversary festivities that once, since the carnivals at the beginning of the 20th century, were masterfully described by our friend Hugo Angel Jaramillo in his story of Pereira, aroused admiration in the rest of the country, including Manizales.

…the mayor with his team of creatives (hopefully not intoxicated by the delicious “chupe” of Caldas brandy), in a display of inspiration changed the motto of a promising city announcing the coffee harvest (it was like that in the beginning) that he bravely surpassed and surpasses all the vicissitudes of nature and on some occasions of his own children.

…because the Pereiran burgomaster, perhaps in the midst of some torrid party at dawn, received inspiration from the gods of Olympus, especially from gentle Bacchus, to give this new nickname to the long-suffering villa of Don Luciano García, that of «in Pereira there are no foreigners because we are all from Pereira” to definitively label it as a villa of hedonistics in the style of imperial Rome.

…the intentions are always left behind with few publicity results in the culture of its official station and the history academy that has always tried to «unravel» the history of the city lost in the dreams of Jorge Robledo and after the class Antioquia and Cauca, in whose sovereign states the spirit of the noble and rebellious city was cemented, perhaps without intending it, in which whites, mulattoes and blacks who had fallen since the end of the thousand days war would have equal opportunities.

…Pereira, the one of several Creole teachers, has always in the interim sought to reconcile himself with what is closest to justice and the freedom of his people through work and study without forgetting that everything has always been rocked in the vapors of the Caldas alcohol, but without exaggeration and the nonsense of believing that Pereira with his wives and children is a moonlight tavern always open on all corners.

…There is a lack of historical rigor to respect the efforts of the ancestors and place everything in its place and its place in everything.
