Ejército Nacional destruyó artefacto explosivo en Calamar, Guaviare.

Con esta acción se previene el riesgo para la población y se fortalece la seguridad en el municipio.

17 March 2026 10:04 AMEn desarrollo de operaciones militares orientadas a la protección de la población civil, soldados del Batallón de Ingenieros de Combate N.° 24, orgánico de la Vigésima Segunda Brigada de Selva, realizaron la destrucción controlada de un artefacto explosivo sin detonar, UXO, en el municipio de Calamar, Guaviare.

La acción fue ejecutada por el equipo de Explosivos y Demoliciones, EOD, que tras verificar las condiciones de seguridad del área procedió a realizar la destrucción controlada del artefacto en las instalaciones de la Estación de Policía de Calamar, evitando así posibles afectaciones a la comunidad y a las autoridades presentes en el sector.

Este tipo de elementos representa un alto riesgo para la vida e integridad de la población civil, por lo que la intervención oportuna del personal especializado permitió neutralizar de manera segura esta amenaza.

La Cuarta División del Ejército Nacional continuará desarrollando operaciones militares y acciones de control territorial en el departamento del Guaviare, con el propósito de proteger a las comunidades y contribuir a la seguridad y estabilidad de la región.

National Army Destroys Explosive Device in Calamar, Guaviare
This action prevents risk to the population and strengthens security in the municipality.

During military operations aimed at protecting the civilian population, soldiers from the 24th Combat Engineer Battalion, part of the 22nd Jungle Brigade, carried out the controlled destruction of an unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the municipality of Calamar, Guaviare.

The operation was carried out by the Explosives and Demolitions (EOD) team, which, after verifying the safety conditions of the area, proceeded to carry out the controlled destruction of the device at the Calamar Police Station, thus preventing potential harm to the community and authorities present in the area.

This type of device represents a high risk to the life and safety of the civilian population, so the timely intervention of specialized personnel allowed for the safe neutralization of this threat.

The Fourth Division of the National Army will continue conducting military operations and territorial control actions in the department of Guaviare, with the aim of protecting communities and contributing to the security and stability of the region.
