Ejército Nacional destruye depósito ilegal con explosivos de disidencias en Miraflores, Guaviare.

Estas operaciones militares se adelantan en el marco del Plan de Campaña Ayacucho Plus, con el propósito de fortalecer la seguridad de los habitantes del departamento.

Soldados del Batallón de Selva N.º 51, orgánico de la Vigésima Segunda Brigada de Selva, ubicaron y destruyeron de manera controlada un depósito ilegal con explosivos, el cual presuntamente pertenecería al grupo armado organizado residual, GAO-r, Estructura Primera Armando Ríos,  en la vereda Vueltas del Alivio, municipio de Miraflores, Guaviare.

La operación militar se desarrolló mientras las tropas adelantaban tareas de control y seguridad fluvial en el río Vaupés. Gracias a información suministrada por inteligencia militar, fue posible ubicar este depósito ilegal que contenía material de guerra y explosivos empleados para la fabricación de artefactos explosivos improvisados, AEI.

En el lugar fueron hallados y posteriormente destruidos de manera controlada 13 mecanismos de lanzamiento, 2 cilindros con explosivos, 15 iniciadores para AEI, 30 metros de cable dúplex, 20 metros de cordón detonante, un galón de explosivo tipo R-15, 4 artefactos explosivos improvisados (IED), material de intendencia y 45 pancartas de proselitismo alusivas a este grupo armado organizado.

De acuerdo con información preliminar, estos artefactos explosivos serían utilizados para atentar contra la Fuerza Pública, especialmente contra las tropas del Ejército Nacional que desarrollan operaciones militares en esta región, así como para generar zozobra entre la población civil.

La presencia de este tipo de material explosivo representa además un grave riesgo para los habitantes del sector, incluyendo campesinos, niños, adultos mayores y demás personas que transitan por la zona. Esta situación constituye una flagrante violación a los derechos humanos y al derecho internacional humanitario, al poner en peligro la vida e integridad de la población civil.

El Ejército Nacional continuará desarrollando operaciones militares sostenidas en el departamento del Guaviare, con el objetivo de afectar las capacidades de los grupos armados organizados que delinquen en la región y salvaguardar la vida, la seguridad y la tranquilidad de las comunidades.

National Army Destroys Illegal Explosives Depot
These military operations are being carried out within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, with the purpose of strengthening the security of the department’s inhabitants.

Soldiers from the 51st Jungle Battalion, part of the Twenty-Second Jungle Brigade, located and destroyed in a controlled manner an illegal explosives depot, which allegedly belonged to the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, First Structure Armando Ríos, in the village of Vueltas del Alivio, municipality of Miraflores, Guaviare.

The military operation took place while troops were conducting river control and security operations on the Vaupés River. Thanks to information provided by military intelligence, it was possible to locate this illegal depot containing war materiel and explosives used for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Thirteen launching mechanisms, two cylinders containing explosives, fifteen IED detonators, thirty meters of duplex cable, twenty meters of detonating cord, one gallon of R-15 explosive, four improvised explosive devices (IEDs), military supplies, and forty-five banners alluding to this organized armed group were found at the site and subsequently destroyed in a controlled manner.

According to preliminary information, these explosive devices were intended to be used to attack the security forces, especially the National Army troops conducting military operations in this region, as well as to sow fear among the civilian population.

The presence of this type of explosive material also represents a serious risk to the inhabitants of the area, including farmers, children, the elderly, and other people who travel through the zone. This situation constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights and international humanitarian law, endangering the lives and safety of the civilian population.

The National Army will continue to conduct sustained military operations in the department of Guaviare, with the objective of disrupting the capabilities of organized armed groups that commit crimes in the region and safeguarding the life, security and tranquility of the communities.
