Por tercera vez las norcereanas se llevan el título a tierras asiáticas. Con más de 32 mil espectadores en el Estadio El Campín de Bogotá, Corea del Norte logró su tercer título al vencer a la Selección del Japón en la final del Mundial de Fútbol Sub-20 Femenino, que durante varias semanas se disputó en tres ciudades del país.

Las norcoreanas vencieron en la final a Japón 1-0 con anotación de su estrella y goleadora Choe Il-Son, máxima artillera de la Copa del Mundo juvenil femenina con seis goles. Además, la fue elegida como la mejor jugadora del certamen. Con esta derrota, Japón pierde su segunda final consecutiva, luego de caer ante España (3-1), en el campeonato jugado en Costa Rica 2022.

La final se disputó en la tarde de este domingo en el estadio El Campín de Bogotá, y el encargado de llevar el trofeo fue el jugador colombiano Radamel Falcao García, quien se llevó la ovación del público. Corea del Norte igualó en títulos a Alemania y Estados Unidos con tres, trofeos cada una.

Las norcoreanas obtuvieron sus copas en los campeonatos de Rusia 2006 al golear (5-0) a China, la segunda en  Papúa Nueva Guinea en 2016 al vencer a Francia (3-1) y ahora en Colombia al derrotar (1-0) a Japón. De esta manera Corea del Norte se lleva el título que dejó vacante España que fue eliminada en los octavos de final.

Máquina goleadora

En el camino hacia la obtención de la Copa del Mundo juvenil femenino, en la fase de grupos Corea se impuso (6-2) sobre Argentina, venció (9-2) a Costa Rica y (2-0) a Países Bajos.

En octavos de final dejó en el camino a Austria al derrotarlo (5-2), luego en la ronda de cuartos de final venció (1-0) a Brasil y en semifinales (1-0) a los Estados Unidos. Y en la definición por el título se impuso también (1-0). Adicionalmente Corea del Norte fue la selección más goleadora del Mundial al marcar 25 goles y solo recibió cuatro goles en contra. Frente a Japón fue superior a las niponas que pidieron desplegar el fútbol con el que eliminó en semifinales a Países Bajos (2-0).

Las nuevas campeonas del mundo neutralizaron todos los circuitos de las japonesas que pese a sus esfuerzos le fue difícil encontrar la fórmula del gol. Solo dos remates claros tuvieron Japón para sorprender a Corea del Norte.

Fue una final que mostró el potencia y la evolución del fútbol femenino asiático, al enfrentar a la ahora, tres veces campeona mundial de esta categoría, Corea del Norte, frente a Japón en pleno crecimiento, que ya ha sido campeona en esta categoría.

El dominio fue contundente de Corea del Norte, que desde el minuto 15 del primer tiempo se puso en ventaja con gol de Choe Il-Son, y a lo largo del partido logró controlar los ataques japoneses e incluso generar nuevas ocasiones de gol.

Un campeonato que los colombianos disfrutaron y respondiendo con la asistencia a los estadios, con una convocatoria superior a los 373.000 espectadores, que podría haber sido mayor si Colombia hubiera avanzado a las instancias finales del torneo.

El sábado, se disputó el partido por el tercer y cuarto lugar de este torneo, donde Estados Unidos, siempre favorita en todos los torneos femeninos al ser potencia de este deporte, logró vencer a Países Bajos y quedarse con el tercer lugar.

Cali, Medellín y Bogotá, fueron las sedes de este torneo que reunió a las mejores jugadoras de fútbol Sub-20, que tuvo a la Selección Colombia como protagonista, que logró llegar a Cuartos de Final, donde fue vencida por Países Bajos tras empatar en el tiempo reglamentario y el suplementario, hasta llegar a la definición desde el punto penal, donde las europeas fueron las más efectivas.
