DUENDES Y BRUJAS
Explotan los disfraces de muchas brujas/
Por los dueños del poder, que son granujas, /
Blindados interiormente como duendes; /
y… tú… que, sí eres honrado, no lo entiendes. /

Figuritas de oro atraen en burbujas, /
Mientras los engaños clavan con agujas; /
Pero sin saberlo, es que tú los defiendes, /
Porque con las lindas brujas, te sorprendes.

Siempre disfrutas de la fiesta que vendes, /
Ganando con el poder, que allí dibujas/
Y la atracción de las brujas, desdibujas. /

Los compradores de máscaras que embrujas/
Llegando a prisa, por montones, que atiendes/
Caen en el engaño, que no comprendes. /

JUEVES 31 DE OCTUBRE 2024 – HALLOWEEN
Halloween es una derivación de la expresión inglesa «All Hallow’s Eve», y que significa «Víspera de Todos los Santos». Pero Halloween es mucho más que eso, se ha convertido en una fiesta que se celebra a nivel mundial.

Halloween se celebra sobre todo en países anglosajones, como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Canadá o Irlanda. Aunque últimamente la fiesta se ha universalizado y se celebra en muchos países con poca tradición, como en España o en países de América Latina, donde los pubs, discotecas y bares se suman a la diversión y organizan fiestas de disfraces para atraer a los clientes.
El motivo de que Halloween haya llegado a nuestros días y se haya extendido a muchos países que tradicionalmente no la contemplaban, es por el despliegue comercial y publicitario del cine estadounidense, que ha propagado la imagen de los niños correteando por las oscuras calles de las ciudades y los pueblos pidiendo caramelos, amén de otros films más terroríficos centrados en la noche de Halloween. Las calabazas, los colores naranja y negro, los gorros de brujas y trajes de fantasmas o esqueletos son la simbología más popular de Halloween.
Es tradición disfrazarse en la Noche de Halloween. Esqueletos, zombis, fantasmas, brujas, o la propia muerte, son las protagonistas de las fiestas de disfraces y de las calles. Esta tradición de disfrazarse hace referencia al origen celta de la fiesta ya que los celtas se ponían máscaras para evitar que los espíritus entraran en sus casas.

Halloween is celebrated mainly in English-speaking countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland. However, the festival has recently become more widespread and is celebrated in many countries with little tradition, such as Spain and Latin American countries, where pubs, clubs and bars join in the fun and organise costume parties to attract customers.
The reason why Halloween has come to our days and has spread to many countries that traditionally did not contemplate it is due to the commercial and advertising deployment of American cinema, which has spread the image of children running through the dark streets of cities and towns asking for candy, as well as other more terrifying films focused on Halloween night. Pumpkins, orange and black colours, witches’ hats and ghost or skeleton costumes are the most popular Halloween symbols.
It is traditional to dress up on Halloween night. Skeletons, zombies, ghosts, witches, or death itself are the protagonists of costume parties and the streets. This tradition of dressing up refers to the Celtic origin of the festival, as the Celts wore masks to prevent spirits from entering their homes.
