Armada y Cotecmar avanzan en la preparación de la patrullera fluvial ARC ‘Ssim Manuel Antonio Moyar Pajaro’.

La Armada de Colombia, en articulación con el talento humano de Corporación de Ciencia y Tecnología para el Desarrollo de la Industria Naval, Marítima y Fluvial –COTECMAR- y el apoyo de aliados estratégicos de Puerto Carreño, realizó la botadura al agua de la Patrullera de Apoyo Fluvial Liviana ARC “SSIM Manuel Antonio Moyar Pajaro”, tras culminar satisfactoriamente un proceso integral de reparaciones mayores en dique seco, en la capital de Vichada. Con este hito, la unidad entra ahora en su fase final de puesta a punto, previa a su retorno pleno a operaciones.

Durante su permanencia en dique seco se ejecutaron labores de mantenimiento mayor en los sistemas auxiliares, sistemas de propulsión, áreas de habitabilidad, esquema de pinturas y reemplazo de aceros estructurales, asegurando estándares óptimos de desempeño y navegabilidad.

El trabajo desarrollado representa un avance significativo en la recuperación de la capacidad operativa de la unidad, que regresará al servicio para fortalecer la seguridad y la protección de las comunidades ribereñas en la región de la Orinoquía, especialmente en el marco del Plan Democracia. Esta unidad será desplegada estratégicamente para contribuir al cumplimiento de la misión constitucional de defensa de la soberanía y la seguridad del país durante los dispositivos del próximo año.

La exitosa culminación de estos trabajos evidencia las capacidades propias de la Armada de Colombia y de COTECMAR para efectuar procesos de alistamiento, sostenimiento y recuperación de unidades fluviales estratégicas. Así mismo, reafirma el compromiso institucional con el desarrollo de la industria naval nacional y con la seguridad integral del país.

Con el retorno al agua de la Patrullera ARC “Moyar”, la Fuerza Naval de la Orinoquía incrementa su capacidad de respuesta, vigilancia y control fluvial, contribuyendo a la protección de la vida, la seguridad y la tranquilidad de los habitantes de esta región fronteriza, consolidando el liderazgo institucional en la defensa integral del territorio.

Colombian Navy and COTECMAR Advance in the Preparation of the River Patrol Boat ARC ‘SSIM Manuel Antonio Moyar Pajaro’

The Colombian Navy, in conjunction with the human resources of the Corporation of Science and Technology for the Development of the Naval, Maritime, and River Industry (COTECMAR) and with the support of strategic partners in Puerto Carreño, launched the Light River Support Patrol Boat ARC “SSIM Manuel Antonio Moyar Pajaro” after successfully completing a comprehensive major repair process in dry dock in the capital of Vichada. With this milestone, the vessel now enters its final commissioning phase before its full return to operations.

During its time in dry dock, major maintenance work was carried out on auxiliary systems, propulsion systems, living quarters, paint scheme, and replacement of structural steel, ensuring optimal performance and seaworthiness standards.

The work completed represents a significant step forward in restoring the operational capacity of the unit, which will return to service to strengthen the security and protection of riverside communities in the Orinoquía region, especially within the framework of Plan Democracia (Democracy Plan). This unit will be strategically deployed to contribute to fulfilling the constitutional mission of defending the country’s sovereignty and security during next year’s operations.

The successful completion of this work demonstrates the capabilities of the Colombian Navy and COTECMAR to carry out the preparation, maintenance, and recovery of strategic riverine vessels. It also reaffirms the institutional commitment to the development of the national naval industry and to the comprehensive security of the country.

With the return to service of the ARC “Moyar” patrol boat, the Orinoquía Naval Force increases its response, surveillance, and riverine control capabilities, contributing to the protection of life, security, and peace of mind of the inhabitants of this border region, and consolidating the institution’s leadership in the comprehensive defense of the territory.
