LA JUAGIRA DEPARTAMENTO RICO PERO LLENO DE NECESIDADES.

LA PARADOJA DE LA GUAJIRA EL DEPARTAMENTO CON UNO DE LOS MAYORES POTENCIALES DE RIQUEZA, PERO TAMBIÉN EL QUE VIVE HOY LA MAYOR POBREZA

La guajira es una gran paradoja de Colombia.

Es uno de los territorios más bellos del país, pero también uno de los que más tristeza nos produce.

Es el departamentos con uno de los mayores potenciales de riqueza,  pero también el que vive hoy la mayor pobreza.

Es como tener una herida siempre abierta y, a pesar de los intentos, nunca poder cerrarla.

La Juajira es el departamento con mayor porcentaje de su población en condición de pobreza: por cada 100 habitantes, cerca del 70 son considerados pobres.

Tiene de los peores indicadores de servicios públicos, siendo particularmente crítico el agua potable, con una cobertura del 46% en cabeceras municipales y de menor del 20% en zonas rurales.

Muchos habitantes recorren largos kilómetros para llegar hasta jagueyes o aljibes y abastecerse del preciado líquido, que no se encuentra en las condiciones más adecuadas de salubridad.

A esta región, con sus grandes contrastes llegó el lunes acompañado de su gabinete, el presidente Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego, para despachar desde allí, durante una semana, y tomar medidas, según lo anticipó la misma Casa de Nariño, como declarar emergencia conónomica y social.

Mientras no haya una clase política digna y los habitantes sigan votando por los mismos, será muy difícil que la Guajira salga adelante.

Caso aparte es lo que esta pasando con el desarrollo de los proyectos de energía  que se encuentran paralizado.

Mas de 60 parques eólicos están parqueados porque no se ha logrado acuerdos con las comunidades que ven la llegada de las multinacionales  como un mal mayor, que causarán estragos en sus territorios ancestrales, afectando al fauna, la flora y los sitios sagrados, sin que los habitantes reciban beneficios.

Recientemente la multinacional italiana  anuncio la suspensión indefinida de su parque eólico Windpeshi, 205 megavatios.

Emn la Guajira el gobierno tiene un gran laboratorio para hacer transformaciones sociales, y económicas profundas.

Ojalá por fin se ven soluciones de largo plazo y no todo termine en simple retórica y nuevas desilusiones para los habitantes de esta región.
