Rubén Dario Franco Narvaez: Martes 14 de abril 2026 – Día de las Américas.
El Día Mundial de la Américas, se celebra el 14 de abril y tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la soberanía, así como la unión existente entre las Repúblicas Americanas de forma voluntaria, dentro de una Comunidad Continental, para alcanzar la paz y la solidaridad de los pueblos.
El Día de las Américas es una celebración que tiene lugar en todas las Repúblicas Americanas para dar a conocer su soberanía, así como su decisión de formar parte de una comunidad continental y que tiene como fin alcanzar la unión, la paz y la libertad entre los pueblos del Continente Americano.
Este importante día, tuvo su primera celebración en el año 1931, cuando fue decretado el 14 de abril como la fecha de la creación de las Repúblicas Americanas. A esta alianza hoy se la conoce como la Unión de los Estados Americanos, que se fundó en el año 1890.
El verdadero propósito para la creación del Día de las Américas es buscar la vía más idónea para crear entre los países que conforman el Continente Americano, un clima de hermandad, justicia social, solidaridad y paz.
La lucha del pueblo americano ha sido ancestral. En el pasado el Continente Americano fue llamado Amaruka y de acuerdo a las tribus indígenas de esa época, ese nombre representaba la «Tierra Fecunda».

En cualquier lugar del mundo, todos los seres humanos cumplimos el mismo ciclo de nacer y morir. Compartimos la misma fragilidad al llegar y el mismo destino al partir, lo que nos convierte en compañeros de viaje en este breve paso por la existencia.

The Day of the Americas is a celebration observed in all the American Republics to highlight their sovereignty and their decision to form part of a continental community, with the goal of achieving unity, peace, and freedom among the peoples of the American Continent.

This important day was first celebrated in 1931, when April 14th was decreed as the date of the creation of the American Republics. This alliance is known today as the Union of American States, founded in 1890.
The true purpose of creating Pan American Day is to find the most suitable way to foster a climate of brotherhood, social justice, solidarity, and peace among the countries of the Americas.
