Otro golpe contundente: Ejército Nacional logra el sometimiento a la justicia de la totalidad de la Comisión 34, perteneciente a la facción Calarcá del Bloque Magdalena Medio Gentil Duarte.

El sometimiento de estos 11 miembros, dentro de ellos sus tres  cabecillas, fortalece las capacidades de despliegue operacional del Ejército Nacional, que a través de sus resultados, continúa debilitando de manera significativa la credibilidad y estructura de las organizaciones criminales en el territorio chocoano.

En desarrollo de operaciones militares, tropas del Batallón de Infantería No. 12, orgánicas de la Décima Quinta Brigada del Ejército Nacional, lograron el sometimiento a la justicia de la totalidad de la Comisión 34, perteneciente a la facción Calarcá del Bloque Magdalena Medio Gentil Duarte, estructura del grupo armado organizado residual (GAO-r).

En zona rural, vereda Guaduas, jurisdicción del municipio de Carmen de Atrato, en el departamento del Chocó, como resultado de las tareas  de acción decisiva, adelantadas por esta unidad se obtuvo el cumplimiento del objetivo estratégico, que obedece a debilitar las capacidades de la amenaza. 

Como consecuencia de la presión sostenida en la zona por las constantes operaciones militares, 11 integrantes de esta estructura armada ilegal, 10 hombres y una mujer, decidieron someterse voluntariamente a la justicia, entre ellos sus tres cabecillas principales conocidos en círculo criminal con los alias de Andrés, Jair y David, quienes manifestaron su intención de acogerse al proceso correspondiente y durante el procedimiento, solicitaron respeto por su vida e integridad personal.

Durante el desarrollo de la operación, las tropas mantuvieron estricto respeto por los derechos humanos y el Derecho Internacional Humanitario DIH, garantizando la vida, integridad y dignidad de las personas sometidas, conforme a los principios y valores que rigen la actuación del Ejército Nacional. 

Así mismo, fueron entregados y puestos a disposición de la entidad competente importantes elementos de guerra, entre ellos ocho armas largas, gran cantidad de munición de diferentes calibres, proveedores, material de intendencia, equipos de comunicación y cartillas ideológicas, incautación que debilita de manera significativa la capacidad delictiva, armada, logística y doctrinal de esta comisión.

Este resultado operacional permite desarticular completamente la Comisión GAO-r 34, estructura activada en el año 2025 tras el desdoblamiento del GAO-r 36, la cual hacía parte del plan expansionista del Bloque Magdalena Medio, con intención de incursionar criminalmente en los departamentos de Chocó, Risaralda y Caldas.

El Ejército Nacional continuará fortaleciendo este tipo de operaciones militares, reafirmando su compromiso permanente con la seguridad, la legalidad y la defensa del territorio colombiano, actuando siempre en el marco de la Constitución, la ley y el respeto por los Derechos Humanos, con el objetivo de proteger a la población civil y contribuir a la estabilidad y la paz en las regiones.

Las personas sometidas fueron puestas a disposición de la autoridad competente y se adelantan los procedimientos legales establecidos para el proceso de sometimiento a la justicia, conforme a la normatividad con el Grupo de Atención Humanitaria al Desmovilizado (GAHD) del Ministerio de Defensa Nacional.

During military operations, troops from the 12th Infantry Battalion, part of the Fifteenth Brigade of the National Army, secured the surrender of the entirety of Commission 34, belonging to the Calarcá faction of the Magdalena Medio Gentil Duarte Bloc, a structure of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r).

In the rural area of ​​Guaduas, within the municipality of Carmen de Atrato, in the department of Chocó, as a result of decisive action carried out by this unit, the strategic objective of weakening the threat’s capabilities was achieved.

As a result of sustained pressure in the area due to constant military operations, 11 members of this illegal armed group—10 men and one woman—decided to voluntarily surrender to justice. Among them were its three main leaders, known in criminal circles by the aliases Andrés, Jair, and David, who expressed their intention to participate in the corresponding legal process and, during the proceedings, requested respect for their lives and personal integrity.

During the operation, troops maintained strict respect for human rights and International Humanitarian Law (IHL), guaranteeing the life, integrity, and dignity of those surrendered, in accordance with the principles and values ​​that govern the actions of the National Army.

Likewise, significant weapons and other weapons were seized and turned over to the competent authorities, including eight long guns, a large quantity of ammunition of various calibers, magazines, logistical supplies, communications equipment, and ideological pamphlets. This seizure significantly weakens the criminal, armed, logistical, and doctrinal capacity of this group.

This operational result allows for the complete dismantling of GAO-r 34, a structure activated in 2025 following the split of GAO-r 36. This group was part of the Magdalena Medio Bloc’s expansionist plan, which aimed to criminally incursions into the departments of Chocó, Risaralda, and Caldas.

The National Army will continue to strengthen these types of military operations, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to security, the rule of law, and the defense of Colombian territory. It will always act within the framework of the Constitution, the law, and with respect for Human Rights, with the objective of protecting the civilian population and contributing to stability and peace in the regions.

The individuals who surrendered were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities, and the legal procedures established for their submission to justice are being carried out in accordance with regulations, in conjunction with the Humanitarian Assistance Group for Demobilized Persons (GAHD) of the Ministry of National Defense.
