El Batallón Cisneros de Ingenieros de Combate N°8 de Armenia tiene nuevo comandante.

El teniente coronel Luis Alberto Reales Triana, comandante saliente, hace entrega de esta Unidad, con la satisfacción de haberle cumplido a los quindianos a través de las capacidades de los ingenieros militares.

El campo de paradas del Batallón de Ingenieros de Combate N.°8 Francisco Javier Cisneros, fue el escenario para la ceremonia de transmisión de mando, donde el teniente coronel Rafael Leonardo Martínez Rubio asumió el mando de esta unidad insigne de la Divisa Púrpura.

El acto fue presidido por el comandante de la Octava Brigada, coronel Edward Vicente Martínez Anteliz y contó con la asistencia del secretario de Gobierno del departamento del Quindío y los Alcaldes de Filandia, Circasia, Quimbaya y Montenegro, Quindío; Alcalá y Ulloa, Valle del Cauca y delegados de la Alcaldía de Armenia.

El comandante saliente, manifestó su gratitud a la gobernabilidad: “durante estos 518 días como comandante del Batallón Cisneros, nos sumamos a los objetivos trazados por cada uno de los municipios para velar por la seguridad de sus habitantes y trabajando unidos, aportamos a mantener la tranquilidad y el progreso que caracteriza al departamento del Quindío.”

Por otra parte, el comandante entrante, el teniente coronel Martínez, asumió el mando, con la responsabilidad que trae consigo esta unidad histórica para la región: “llevo conmigo y mis tropas, el peso de la historia que nos antecede y el honor de quienes han guiado con carácter y amor a sus soldados. Vengo a continuar un legado de disciplina y esfuerzo para servirle al Corazón de Colombia, porque los ingenieros militares, somos constructores de caminos en medio de la adversidad y continuaremos afrontando los desafíos que a bien estime el Comando superior y por supuesto, dando respuesta a las necesidades más sentidas de la comunidad.”

El Batallón de Ingenieros de Combate N.°8 Francisco Javier Cisneros, continuará su labor en el departamento del Quindío y a través de sus capacidades, seguirá llegando con esperanza, desarrollo y seguridad al territorio cafetero.

The 8th Combat Engineer Battalion has a new commander*

Outgoing commander Lieutenant Colonel Luis Alberto Reales Triana handed over command of this unit, satisfied that he had served the people of Quindío through the capabilities of the military engineers.

The parade ground of the 8th Combat Engineer Battalion, Francisco Javier Cisneros, was the setting for the change of command ceremony, where Lieutenant Colonel Rafael Leonardo Martínez Rubio assumed command of this distinguished unit of the Purple Division.

The ceremony was presided over by the commander of the Eighth Brigade, Colonel Edward Vicente Martínez Anteliz, and was attended by the Secretary of Government of the Department of Quindío and the Mayors of Filandia, Circasia, Quimbaya, and Montenegro, Quindío; Alcalá and Ulloa, Valle del Cauca; and delegates from the Mayor’s Office of Armenia.

The outgoing commander expressed his gratitude to the government: “During these 518 days as commander of the Cisneros Battalion, we joined forces with the objectives set by each of the municipalities to ensure the safety of their inhabitants, and by working together, we contributed to maintaining the peace and progress that characterizes the department of Quindío.”

Meanwhile, the incoming commander, Lieutenant Colonel Martínez, assumed command with the responsibility that comes with this historic unit for the region: “I carry with me and my troops the weight of the history that precedes us and the honor of those who have guided their soldiers with character and love. I come to continue a legacy of discipline and effort to serve the Heart of Colombia, because we military engineers are builders of roads in the face of adversity, and we will continue to face the challenges deemed appropriate by the High Command and, of course, respond to the most pressing needs of the community.”

The Francisco Javier Cisneros Combat Engineer Battalion No. 8 will continue its work in the department of Quindío and, through its capabilities, will continue to bring hope, development, and security to the coffee-growing region.
