Ejército ubicó un depósito ilegal con material de intendencia del Clan del Golfo en El Bagre, Antioquia.

Las tropas intensifican las operaciones en esta zona del país, con el propósito de afectar y debilitar los grupos armados organizados que operan en la región.

Soldados del Batallón de Selva N.° 57, adscritos a la Décima Primera Brigada del Ejército Nacional, hallaron en las últimas horas un depósito ilegal con material de intendencia y municiones, presuntamente perteneciente a la Subestructura Manuel Alexander Ariza del grupo armado organizado (GAO) Clan del Golfo.

La operación militar se produjo en la vereda Baldíos Nacionales, jurisdicción del municipio de El Bagre, Antioquia, tras labores de registro por parte de las tropas. Entre los elementos se encontraron 26 cartuchos de diferentes calibres, 4 proveedores metálicos y brazaletes alusivos a las Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia (AGC).

De igual manera, se hallaron camisas tácticas, una camisa negra con el logo de las FARC, sudaderas, una cantimplora y un kit de primeros auxilios. Estos elementos fueron dejados a disposición de las autoridades competentes para el desarrollo de los trámites judiciales correspondientes.

Con este resultado, el Ejército Nacional reafirma el compromiso de continuar debilitando las capacidades del GAO Clan del Golfo, y contrarrestar toda acción criminal que sus miembros pretendan realizar en contra de las comunidades de la subregión del Bajo Cauca antioqueño.

Soldiers from the 57th Jungle Battalion, attached to the Eleventh Brigade of the National Army, discovered an illegal cache of supplies and ammunition in recent hours, allegedly belonging to the Manuel Alexander Ariza Substructure of the Clan del Golfo organized armed group (GAO).

The military operation took place in the Baldíos Nacionales village, within the municipality of El Bagre, Antioquia, following a search by the troops. Among the items found were 26 cartridges of various calibers, four metal magazines, and armbands alluding to the Gaitanista Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AGC).

Tactical shirts, a black shirt with the FARC logo, sweatshirts, a canteen, and a first-aid kit were also found. These items were turned over to the appropriate authorities for the corresponding legal proceedings.

With this result, the National Army reaffirms its commitment to continue weakening the capabilities of the Clan del Golfo Organized Armed Group and countering any criminal activity its members may attempt to carry out against the communities of the Bajo Cauca subregion of Antioquia.
