Ejército Nacional ubicó depósito ilegal con explosivos del Clan del Golfo en zona rural de Nechí, Antioquia.

Las tropas intensifican las operaciones en los municipios del Bajo Cauca antioqueño, con el propósito de combatir las actividades delictivas de los grupos armados organizados que operan en esta subregión.

Soldados del Batallón de Selva N.° 57, unidad adscrita a la Décima Primera Brigada del Ejército Nacional, con apoyo de la Armada de Colombia, y en cumplimiento del Plan de Campaña Ayacucho Plus, ubicaron en las últimas horas un depósito ilegal con explosivos y material de comunicaciones, presuntamente perteneciente al grupo armado organizado Clan del Golfo, Subestructura Manuel Alexánder Ariza Rosario.

La operación militar se produjo en la vereda La Trinidad, jurisdicción del municipio de Nechí, Antioquia. En el sitio se hallaron 110 barras de explosivo Indugel, 11 cargas huecas dirigidas, 7 cargas de demolición pentolita, una mina antipersonal; 2 granadas de fragmentación, 100 metros de cordón detonante y 2 radios de comunicaciones con sus respectivos cargadores.

Con la utilización de este material, los integrantes de esta organización delictiva buscarían infundir temor y constreñir a la población civil, además de afectar las operaciones que la Fuerza Pública despliega de manera permanente en la región.

Posterior a la ubicación de los explosivos, fueron dejados a disposición de los soldados del Grupo EXDE para la destrucción controlada de los mismos, y neutralizar así cualquier acción terrorista que ponga en riesgo la vida de los ciudadanos que residen en el sector. 

El Ejército Nacional seguirá adelantando operaciones ofensivas en la subregión del Bajo Cauca antioqueño, con el firme compromiso de contrarrestar los factores de inestabilidad y todo acto criminal que transgreda los derechos humanos, generando un ambiente de seguridad en esta zona del país.

Soldiers from the 57th Jungle Battalion, a unit attached to the Eleventh Brigade of the National Army, with support from the Colombian Navy, and in compliance with the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, located in recent hours an illegal depot containing explosives and communications equipment, allegedly belonging to the organized armed group Clan del Golfo, Manuel Alexánder Ariza Rosario Substructure.

The military operation took place in the village of La Trinidad, within the jurisdiction of the municipality of Nechí, Antioquia. At the site, 110 Indugel explosive bars, 11 shaped charges, 7 pentolite demolition charges, an antipersonnel mine, 2 fragmentation grenades, 100 meters of detonating cord, and 2 communication radios with their respective magazines were found.

By using this material, the members of this criminal organization sought to instill fear and oppress the civilian population, as well as disrupt the operations that the Public Forces permanently deploy in the region.

After locating the explosives, they were placed at the disposal of EXDE Group soldiers for their controlled destruction, thus neutralizing any terrorist action that could endanger the lives of citizens residing in the area.

The National Army will continue to carry out offensive operations in the Bajo Cauca subregion of Antioquia, with a firm commitment to countering factors of instability and any criminal acts that violate human rights, creating an environment of security in this area of ​​the country.
